Feels like this would be a major mistake. Just below the surface of all the praise First Light has received is the nagging concern that it’s overall quite a short, one-and-done experience.
If there’s paid DLC turning up immediately in the first year after release, before anything else of significance is added to the game for no extra cost, there’s zero chance I’m buying it.
My stance would potentially change if - A) we get satisfying new levels for TacSim (the Aston Martin level in the works doesn’t excite me much, unfortunately). And B) the paid DLC is a substantial new mini-campaign rather than a single mission.
I wonder how much people are going to completely miss this, I have not seen any advertisement for it other than this post. Maybe a roadmap would be a good idea.
Also, just wanted to report it’s been almost a month since release and I still have no news on my deluxe code. The only answer I got is that my request is being transferred to another department, which is giving me PTSD from when I contacted Amazon. Should I just give up and accept that I got scammed out of my pre-order bonus?
They’ve posted it on social media, but thats about it for spreading the word.
At the very least the game should have something they could push through the servers to show on the main menu so that people that aren’t following them on socials get a call to action.
