Am I the only one who feels that they should have remade the first two Hitman games? In terms of storytelling, they were at its peak. Though gameplay was terrible, especially in Hitman C47, we rarely saw such clever storytelling in video games back then…
It is sad because today’s new generation gamers won’t even know what they are missing out…
They could have at least added the first two games as DLCs to Hitman World of Assassination…
If they do remake in the future, I feel they should release it as one game. Hitman Contracts and Hitman Blood Money still stand well in terms of visuals and gameplay in 2025, which makes remakes unnecessary. But remastered versions can be considered…
If they do remake, they better not replace Jesper Kyd’s music, else the best element of these games is gone!
Thats not true, its fucking amazing.
Also I’d rather like to see a Remaster, ala the recent Tomb Raider Remasters, because i dont want too lose that special atmosphere.
I think I remake would need boxes and that would totally change it. It just doesn’t make any sense that you can tuck a body away behind a building in downtown Hong Kong or St Petersburg, but it was a video game in the early 2000s and that’s how it worked. There weren’t too many NPCs and we just overlooked the fact that 450 windows would be able to see the body . Can’t do that with today’s games… so my vote is a remaster not a remake bc a remake would be too different.
Also they better not make it easy. H2SA is a hard game. That’s why it’s so good.
If they could be remastered into one edition I’d hope they’d refine or made a definitive control layout. That was the biggest thing I recall when playing them all (up to a point) is having to slightly adjust to the controls in the next game.
Like they did with Blood Money on the Switch, I think some modern QoL changes could be set in a main menu option.
I’m going to be looking for and watching videos on missions that were both in C47 and Contracts to see how different they were and if one is really worse or better than the other.
