But if it’s some sloppy snafu, the client could have just done it themselves and saved the money. Standards, my man, standards.
Bear in mind, I’m not talking about myself - my own performance in this game is just what it is and I’ll NEVER care about stars or certain types of objectives, but I don’t like the “get gud” mentality overall and insisting that a person that earns less than the maximum reward has somehow failed just feels like unnecessary, but I’ll let it go. If a person wants to set their own type of challenge and 5 star results are part of that, more power to them I think.
I’ve done a Fiber Wire only play through of all the main story missions and (except for targets like Soders where it isn’t possible) enjoyed it. I think I did actually get 4 or 5 stars on every mission too when I did it. I don’t normally like the Fiber Wire as a weapon, but the tie is actually good and I do like it.
The fiber wire is by far my favorite weapon, always has been. I do miss the animation where you can ready the string and have that little “twang” sound as you pull it tight.
The almost total silence and the immediate dragging also make for sublime gameplay advantages.
It might be possible to frog bomb him when he’s checking on a trap with his two guard friends, then repeatedly bump into him to lock him in place while the guards go away, to wire him when there’s nobody left around? (I haven’t tried it and I dunno if anyone would come check on the body, I haven’t played that awful mission in years)
(Okay I forgot about the journal part, which is what makes this mission so shitty so I actually haven’t got a clue -_- Maybe firing sniper shots everywhere to get the guards away and trying to grab the journal in the ensuing confusion, I dunno
)
For that matter, why not just set off a bunch of explosives out by the road and letting the guards run off to see what happened while you grab the journal?
That could work too, I mentioned snipers because IIRC you have to open the lock on the hut so a sniper could also take care of that.
You know what, I’ll try to do this FW SONKO tonight, until the limits of my sanity are reached that is :x
I did this 3 years ago. I just didn’t do the painting. It’s actually not as bad to get to it but since this was my loadout, have to get a knife to cut it.
Got him like this
Used briefcase lure out the door.
Just emetic with fart box briefcase then get him in the bathroom.
I just watched my SA/SONKO run off this with injected poison, i think a FW kill might work cuz i didn’t get a body found when i did my poison run. I’ll have to try it.
If you start from the auction, you can pull the alarm and easily but quickly run into the safe room and out in about 25-30 seconds.
Then if you can get the firecracker trigger, you can find him outside and get him there while everyone is watching upwards.
There’s more but now i want to play. ![]()
Yes it’s optional but not using the injected poisons on both targets yields a 4 star Sa rating. Not 5.
OK I think I got Embrace of the Serpent figured out.
Sieker, Frog Bomb, FW, Emetic Briefcase. Get the briefcase then head towards the target through the small passage near the road, grabbing fruits and machetes along the way. Hide near the target then move towards the camp as he leaves while still getting anything you can throw as a distraction.
At the camp frog bomb the cook, the nearest guard will come investigate but another guard to your right will be distracted as well. Throw an apricot behind him so that he turns away and head behind the crates. As the guard comes back, throw some stuff to your left to distract him and get inside the hut to grab the journal (normally the moving guard inside will not see you). Get immediately back behind the crates, then throw something to your right to distract the guard again, and another apricot behind the guy to your left. Go back the way you came and there should only be one guard ahead of you, who is easily distracted.
Now for the target. Wait until he comes at the trap nearest to the road and sicken him as he leaves (he’s a moving target… and you can’t afford to miss). When his bodyguards come camping his puking spot use the briefcase on them, then immediately go back in the jungle to sicken the left guard from the group to your right (he’s looking towards the target). Leave the Sieker for the truck guard to find and distract him to get him to see it. Now you can finally FW the target and hide him in the bushes (don’t dump him in the river because some other guards will see you). Head back to the bus and that’s it.
A whole lot of throwing shit around but honestly that’s not very different from how a regular SASO on this mission plays out -_-
There’s a kitchen knife in Zach’s room, easy to get in SONKO.
Well done!
Any chance you could do it without emetics? ![]()
Nah there are way too many guards to remove to get at the target. Not saying it’s not possible but I just don’t have the patience for that and it would shatter my sanity for sure :x
What is this? I’m not familiar with this term. Do you mean fart bomb (emetic in briefcase)?
It’s the emetic bomb from Ambrose, which has a frog in it.
Can you show me? I can’t find it on Google.
https://hitman.fandom.com/wiki/Emetic_Gas_Grenade
(It’s generally better than the other two emetic grenades because it explodes as it hit the ground, while the other ones can bounce away from the target, but if you can deal with the bounce any of them can be used - or you can use the durian too)
Oh emetic gas grenade. Lol never heard fog bomb before.
Abiatti. One of my favourite stealth kills.
This doesn’t work for me, the guards follow him outside ![]()
Ya you have to put the briefcase where i do so the guard doesn’t have enough space to walk out. And have to manually close the door. It’s all about positioning.
I think the programming of the guards changed, I’m doing it like you in the video and they open the door immediately.
