“Get over Untouchable already”.
Twist: IOI will put Ambrose Island after Romania in the menus just so people can’t complain “all this work only for the last level to be linear”
They likely will for the Hitman 3 destinations menu. For the storyline menu, or w/e it’s called, I get the sense it’ll be placed between the Hitman 2 locations,
It’s gonna be weird either way.
I happen to be off work Tuesday and didn’t even realise it comes out then. The gaming gods made it happen.
Another Sieker would make sense, as it’s unlocked in the bonus island map of H2, and parallelism and whatnot.
That’s from one of those concept/game file images right? I do like that one.
I want a yellow bandana unlock that operates as a fiber wire. It’s canon!
That would be really good actually. For that sub-section of people who own H3 without owning the H2 Gold Access Pass DLC (which will include anyone playing the HITMAN Trilogy on Game Pass etc, which doesn’t include the H2 Gold levels of New York and Haven by default), a Sieker v2 unlock for Ambrose Island would allow those people access to one of the most useful tools in the WoA.
Also the fact it is not available for H3-only players (a reason why Mk 3 items exist in the first place) and that two Siekers will give everyone 4 emetic shots, or even 5 if you bring a Kalmer with a spare dart
It makes the most sense to have it after all of Hitman 3’s missions because it’s a map available to Hitman 3 owners, even if not set after Hitman 3’s timeline. It could start as a flashback (giving a literal meaning to IOI’s internal naming of flashback contracts) giving it even more of a purpose to be there.
Putting it back in-between where it lies in the story is not a good idea as it would confuse people who have only Hitman 2 in Hitman 3.
I think that might be something IOI would consider overpowered in the item meta so I don’t really think they’d do it.
I’d like it though if only for that small subsection of people who don’t own Haven Island.
But we shall see…
If it takes place between Haven and Dubai, putting it in front of Dubai for H3 players would make the most sense. Any confusion caused by The Story So Far when starting Dubai is cancelled out by the fact that this is clearly the 3rd game in a trilogy, and anybody getting this game and not buying separately or incorporating into this one the two previous games, can make the connection that the weird placement of that cinematic must have something to do with the two previous games that they don’t have. Hell, Ambrose can be seen as a prologue then to H3 and The Story So Far can clue them in as to why that island mission they just completed was relevant and what this game’s story is supposed to be about. None of us who have played all three games will be confused, so there’s no issue there.
There’s nothing to really fill inbetween Haven and Dubai though. That’s just a nonsenical place to put it.
I think it may be a flashback as there are some areas to fill, and frankly, I can’t discuss my reasonings here.
Is it possible they could put it in different places based on what you own? ie people that own everything would get it in it’s chronological place, where as H3-only owners could have it appear somewhere else?
Would be a bit stupid to do a full story run and have to exit out at some point to play it in chronological order.
What do you mean IOI’s internal naming of flashback contracts? Are you referring to the bonus missions? If so what are the names?
I, also, think the Sieker is OP … but they had the opportunity to give it the Zap Phone treatment and they chose against doing so.
I think the Sieker is somewhat balanced by having to be unseen while taking your shot. It’s OP but somewhat balanced is what I’m saying guys!
Primarily I think that since there’s no way for H3-only players to get it, I wouldn’t be surprised if they made it an Ambrose unlock.
But I’ve been disappointed before.
It doesn’t really make sense, the maps are split by Seasons. As Ambrose is a Season 3 map, that’s where it’s going to go.
It could be a flashback like I said, then story wise it makes sense.
These are missions with the type “flashback” these are usually the bonus missions e.g. AHBOS
The entire journey from Haven to Dubai. We don’t even know how long it took 47 and Grey to get there, or how they even knew to go to Dubai to find the Partners. It makes perfect sense to place the mission between the two, if in addition to everything else being done on the island, it helps them find out from any recent communications or anything, exactly where the Partners are going, which would explain why they trekked their way to Dubai. It easily fits into the story.
But why a pirate island in the middle of no where with what looks like the milita on there (reskinned Colorado guards)? It makes no sense at all that they would go there to ascertain the location of the Partners.
I think you should re-read some of the leaks…
The conversation would be much better when you’re not calling each other “fool” and “ass”
