Announcement: The Splitter

If I catch a stream of Cassidy I might do so in passing.
I like her streams, chill, and close to the way I play the game.

But if I miss it, I wouldn’t really care. It’s not as if I ever used the Twitch Drops in any loadout.
And since I never bought the Disruptor pack out for obvious reasons, I kinda brock out of the FOMO completionist mindset for suits and items.

I love this (particularly the “we became aware that he was playing multiple sides” line from Diana)

I hate this (I don’t use Twitch at all and on top of that it’s time-limited) :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

I don’t understand this (any of it - is it some kind of streaming platform? some kind of cloud gaming platform? both? the website manages to be full of advertising nonsense while never explaining anything directly)

So the JCVD predictions were correct. I like this. Not only is he a neat choice for those of us who grew up on his movies, but the lore in this one looks really interesting, just like The Undying.

Also, they had him do the split, but did they have him do the dance?! :no_mouth:

More information will come about this.
But Ludeo is a platform that allows you to get a brief experience of the game without the game.

There is another aspect to this, there might be streamers that has not played the game that will now try out streaming it and showing their community it.
So there is many aspects of this.

But I hear you and I will take both your and LandirtHomes opinions with me when debrief this.

Now I’m more confused

I guess I’ll jump in with my opinion on the twitch subscription thing. I don’t like it. I don’t mind paying IOI for content and I don’t particularly mind watching streamers play the game but paying streamers (who are not employed by IOI) in order to get content from IOI seems off to me. I could probably even justify paying an official IOI stream to get that content, but I just don’t get the idea of paying someone who is not even affiliated with IOI for IOI’s content.

I subscribe to a few different channels on YouTube at least but those are because I like their content and want to support them so I’m not against the idea of subscribing in and of itself. The only time I even log into Twitch is when I have to watch that platform to get more in-game content. Outside of that I never visit the platform.

So basic, you can try a short snippet of the game without having to go through installing the game.

I will also add though that I do like the idea of a Van Damme target in the repurposed data center area. That’s a great idea! Not sure how the escort thing is going to work and generally I don’t like escort missions in games but we’ll see how it goes. Hopefully the guy we’re escorting doesn’t get all freaked out when guns start going off.

I think I heard of it.

Isn’t this the technology that allows a viewer to basically start playing a game from the moment showed in a video highlight?
Transforming the video into a quickstart? From video to gameplay?
Basically a demo.

Like the streamer is playing.
You start the service
Now you are the one playing. Forking over them. Seamlessly(ish).

So… not something of relevance to those of us who have the game installed and (sometimes) play it, right?

In which case, is it going to “interfere” in any way? Like does it take up disk space, throw advertising pop-ups in the game menu, that sort of stuff? Can I avoid having it in the game?

Ohh, I feel like Google Stadia prided themselves with this special feature when they first announced the project.

No idea if it was ever that successful or useful though!

Interesting though! Like on-the-fly demos to try out the game! I just wonder, if-any, there might be restrictions, how long does the “demo” last? Does it only “activate” at certain gameplay moments in a game?

Crafting exceptional demos for discovery poses publishing dilemmas. While marketing and the community crave it, studios may hesitate due to concerns about cost and time. The solution? Instantly create demos with Ludeo.

Something like that, it works different from game to game, so keep that in mind.
But yea something like that and more information will come.

And as a Chinese player, I have to say, that payment overseas is quite annoying at our locations. Under this condition, it has been, not mentioning the price, definitely blocking us players in China who want to get the reward. Missed out already.

I’m all for you rewarding your streamers, but that’s not what this is. This is you expecting us, your players, to reward your streamers for you.

I’ve always viewed the Twitch drops as a rather sketchy way to artificially inflate Hitman’s streaming numbers, but asking us to pay for the privilege is so much worse.

Count me among those who are squarely against this.

Is this connected to the Twitch creator reward? or the DLC it self?

Noted, appreciate the honest feedback.

A.K.A: a temporary boost in engagement. Which you can do by not having the option to have subscription-locked reskins of suits.

Please reconsider this idea.

As stated, I am taking in all the feedback.
Take in account there are somethings I can not openly discuss about this, but I have seen valid points. Will of course take into account what streamers say also and bench mark some things against each other and try to find a good path forward for next time.
