There’s two mission story-esque things that can be used to eliminate the target. There’s also another one to remove the bodyguard as a potential problem for your plan.
His route has a few accidents that you can pull off as well, as well as a kill “borrowed” from the main mission.
The target routine/loop has 4 stops.
Each of them come with a specific pool of dialogues that will reveal one curated way to interact with him. They are all usually commented on by Diana. Including witty remarks if used for elimination.
starts at the stairs, signal the bodyguard/dealer opportunity
goes to the overpass, signal the light tree opportunity
goes to the new VIP area, signal the Hirschmuller meeting opportunity
goes to the water bar, signal the vodka opportunity
If he is given any sort of emetic poison while in the VIP area (Sieker, canister, remote device, poisoned whiskey/cocaine, etc.), he will go to the hallway that leads from inside the club to the basement stairwell in the biker hideout, he’ll stop at the chainlink area that leads down to the club owner’s office, and puke here. If he falls from this spot, Diana will make one of her quips about it that she won’t make if dies in any other way, or in the same way anywhere else.
He used to be wearing a blue tracksuit, but somehow they broke his jacket. Hopefully it will be fixed in the next patch… whenever that is. Or failing that, a mod, but then console players will still have this bug, so very less than ideal.
Also, on the topic of unique dialogue for Diana: She also has a different unique line for killing him with the light tree. So she has a special line if you make him drop, or the music drop. If you start the buildup while he’s in range, he also starts dancing so you can enjoy that bit of the song without so much time pressure. And a bit of advice for that opportunity: The ravers to the side will not be in range, so you don’t need to remove them for SA. Just the two tech crew & Alexios’ bodyguard.
Not to mention the mission is set post Hitman III, looking likely to be one of Diana and 47’s first Freelancer hits. The Club has also being rebranded and undergone refurbishment, so it’s likely Rolf Hirschmüller carried this out shortly after the ICA were exposed by 47. The Club has a totally different feel as well compared to when we’re playing Apex Predator
I just wish I spent more time exploring the map now!
I really wish they made more of these infographics for other missions since it’s all tracked via the Always Online requirement. What are other ET completion stats? How have the ET completion percentages changed over the years? What about main missions, or the 7 Deadly Sins?
I haven’t completed it yet. I load it up, wander around, soak it in, and exit to menu. Then I come back in a day or two.
Was considering completing it in the Codename 47 suit; very cool to see they measured that.
Edit: if the #1 kill method was pushing, and the #1 gear was lethal poison, does that imply that many people just rushed the guy and pushed him in front of a bunch of witnesses and then tried running out before dying?
I am surprised that people actually used the measuring tape or garden fork they seem Like the most random unlocks to kill him with also I wonder the amount of people that played it quit out then started again and killed him with the Greek fire suit because you only need to load the Et to get the suit
Nothing fancy, I sniped him. I observed his route, I got a tech outfit, I found myself a sniper’s nest, I shot him in the head, I made my way down a staircase and exited on the lower level. Not the biggest challenge to myself, but it was satisfying.
I’ve started a game, got to a “safe” spot, and walked away from the game for a while - up to 12 hours for sure. Could be the player just didn’t pause the game while he ran off to work or school or something.
Also, the suit that is rewarded for playing the mission is nice, looking forward to try it on the dancefloor
Director tips
A ma grande surprise my “training” playthrough was slightly better than the last one. So i took this one instead.
No difference for you guys except a very little change between the two, i’ll let you try to find out what it is
Since i was unsatisfied with the general sounds and game ending music of that ET (it’s almost silent or too loud) i decided to almost entirely remix the whole stuff.
It took some more time but i guess that it was worth it.
It took almost 50 retries before getting to the final result, phew /!\
It took me more time (and replays!) than expected to achieve that mission. But i really wanted to have a nice playthrough, visually and gameplay-wise so it was worth the extended period of retries
Anyway i’m kinda satisfied wih the ending result, i hope that you will also enjoy it:
I’d like to thank io interactive and the modding community for those amazing features and improvements, it really helped increase the quality of the playthrough, visually and gameplay-wise
Playing that Elusive Target was also the opportunity for me to re-release 2 of my best previous playthroughs of elusive targets in HITMAN and HITMAN 2, awaiting a deeper and final release of more targets. Feel free to check it out:
Well, through a secondary account I use from time to time, I’ve now also killed this target by dropping the beat on him as the DJ. I have one more backup account that I think I’ll use to just fiber wire him.
