BERLIN, Germany (Mission #3) - Location Discussion

Yeah the “charcoal tie” confused the hell out of me.

I love this mission so much, I thought speedrunners were gonna hate it from the moment we got VR gameplay snippets but apparently not. Also, I never stop hearing new voice lines from the handler!

A very cool strategy indeed, but by God, do I hate that reloading-after-every-single-shot trope… Mafia 1 reloading mechanics on you you scoundrels!! :joy:

Thank you! I also find the reloading not nice to look at…
This is due to the Slowmo press technology. I can’t explain what it is exactly, but it often happened to me that I reloaded instead of shooting and missed the shot. (Using the slowmo with a controller tires my hands after a while)
At some point I got into the habit of always having a full magazine to avoid accidental reloading.

I definitely think that route was better, personally. At least gameplay wise.

Absolutely love Berlin!

I was wondering what you can actually do as the “candy man” (drugdealer) ? I know that you can use it to lure away certain staff, but is there more to it or is there a particular opportunity that I am missing?

Poison Only/Silent Assassin?
We have five targets. You can bring 2x poison with your inventory + 1x by smuggle point. But there is no lethal poison on the map (as far as i know).
But one agent has a consumeable poison, another has a syringe. Both agents have to be killed by poison to get their poison, to poison the last two agents. This is a great puzzle to solve :sunglasses: I can highly recommend it and it’s defently possible

Will definitly try it today.

It would be a crazy contract if we could enforce no-loadout. Having only the two poison-carrier as targets. You also lack the Kalmer so you have to KO one target, lure the other target to the pacified one to make one wake the other up. Redo that then with the second target it to get the other’s poison as well. Only this way you could get the “No Bodies Found” bonus as the NPCs who found one don’t matter since they die. Also you need to have the two being awake to poison them. :stuck_out_tongue:

Wow mate this idea is crazy and i really like it! That would be a hard challenge and out of the box thinking contract.
But how will make them meet in any point? They are at very different locations
My first thought was the weapon lure trick. But it’s not cool, when it’s the only possible solution. Maybe they could use the same weapon crates to make them meet/find each other?
I think a mix contract with poison/explosives would be cool too, since two agents carry a c4 bomb. But as you said, all this would only be cool with no loadout. Otherwise you could easily smuggle all items in there.

Yes it would just a lame weapon lure tactic, I don’t currently know who the targets are exactly, and if one is drinking something.

But I once made a Final Test contract where you had make the KGB officer being woken up by a soldier target so you can fiberwire him in his own disguise.

@CHAOS_AGENT_45

Nothing special, but it was fun to play with poisons only.
I’m sure you will have far better route.

2 of the targets are referenced by Mark Faba in his dialogue

All ten agents killed with just fiber wire on master difficulty, suit only.

How do you manage to kill all of them in one run without the game crashing? I had knocked out 5 and was going around killing the rest and every time i tried to kill a third my game would crash hard to a blue screen. It was very odd.

He didn’t kill any knocked-out targets after the 5th agent. I never had a game crash killing all 10 agents (But i always killed them while they escape). Seems to be related to this:

Maybe try to kill the last 5 targets while they escape or after they were woken up. MacTonite88 did this for Agent Montgomery (the last one). It’s a clever technique to make sure you don’t miss a target, when two or three agents escape pretty close to each other.

You could also legshot them and get one after another with the wire. Including more risk to fail and start all over again. I think the “killing ko’d agents-after the 5th” makes the gamcrash consitantly.

Thanks, I’ll have to try that next time.

So playing Berlin tonight I’ve found that if you sneak down the left side of the club, you can crowbar open a planked over window, allowing you to sneak into the bathroom area.
A crowbar is located nearby and it is eminently doable suit only.

Which makes the persistent shortcut door even more egregious.

Was in the map the other day and went to the Juice Bar and heard a balaclava man in a foreign accent talking to the juice bar guy, and I was like ‘whoah! So they actually do have a random NPC here who has a European accent!’, then I realised… he was Chinese

The Chinese accent sounds more at home in the Berlin map than the English and American ones -_-

i honestly though he had a German accent for a second (or a minute) LOL

also the delivery guy

I think that only the food delivery guy has an accent. I so wish the guards had a German accent
