I regret sticking around and putting up with bs for so many years, only to (unsurprisingly) see things get worse.

To fellow hitman enjoyers, don’t stand for io’s use of human traffickers, rapists, and zionists to promote live service ‘content’.

Hellow Forum Friends! I have come back to the post on Xmas day to bring you the gift of an update!!

Earlier this year, I left the Hitman Forum and community, tired of all of, well you know. It was really affecting me and my ability to stay active around here.

I was truly planning on leaving forever.

But a few months later I saw a post on the modding discord about Luka and I really wanted to help. So I returned and made a fundraiser mod for them - one I always wanted to make. The Blossom Festival! It really changed my mindset and I was able to focus on all my friends and my creative projects / modding. I’ve been back + fairly active since and been able to mostly ignore the IOI moments.

I never got round to editing this post and I’m really sorry for that. Well I’m doing it now so better late than never!

I have dreams of making my own game one day and so I not going to be modding forever. In fact I’m going to stop after I make my dream mod - coming next year! But I will still be super active around the forum and around to chat with all of you.

Thank you for 2025. I had joined the modding discord and forum last year, but this one is where things really took off. After releasing Blossom Ninja in Jan, I was flooded with many friendly friends complimenting it! That was so incredible and I still try to chat with them. Things only got crazier from there. I now have so many friends from here <3. There is way too many people to thank for everything, so well: Thank you all of you anyways!!

HMF isn’t run by IO. Just hang out in the off topic threads if you still like the people. In the larger gap years between games (BM to absolution and absolution to 2016) it was really just the off topic threads that stayed fun anyway.

JCVD was allegedly gifted “services” of human traffickers.

Gary Busey(?) and McGregor = rapists, regardless of not having ever run The Wild Card again (presumably due to contractual obligations/limitations anyway) and they’ve already condemned McGregor publicly and removed the availability of said related DLC from all digital storefronts.

But I guess I’m not up to speed on who the “Zionist” person or persons are.

I talked to them over Discord about this, and I did just suggest never logging in again. Short answer; the reveal of the State of Despair crossover basically pushed them over the edge into “I don’t want to even think about the company anymore”.

And I get it, to be honest. With the year and a bit we’ve had of PR screwups, I can totally understand getting less and less happy with the game or the company behind it. Making dodgy deals with Conor, not apologizing for that mess, making the Sapienza edition and pretending it’s the best deal ever, making a goddamn spreadsheet for purchasing the game as if that’s acceptable! Then JCVD being investigated for child trafficking and now the crossover with a dodgy mobile game with misogynistic and misleading adverts…and who knows what else I’ve missed!

It’s…not a great look for the company, and it sounds like they just wanted out of the fandom. And I respect that decision. Which is a shame, because they were the lifeline between us and @CombatGlue, so that link is now severed.

This is the cost of your business, IO Interactive. Sometimes people are so ashamed of your actions, that they’ll leave the game and fandom entirely. Think on your sins the next time you collaborate with another company, and perhaps think through the future consequences first – for your games, reputation as a company, and as a brand.

Oh noooo, I’m gonna miss you!
I totally understand you though. If it wasn’t for the off topic threads and the people here, I wouldn’t be in the forum. I lost my will to play the game a long time ago, I didn’t even play the undying and he’s my favourite ET.
Part of it was because I was bored about Hitman, but
the bigger part was because I was angry at IOI for all the stuff they pulled.
This Forum will miss you, but I hope this is the best for you and that whatever comes next in your life is great.
