Carpathian Mountains CET

So, you may wonder and question: “Why on Romania?”

An elusive target in Romania means that every map in the entire game has officially ATLEAST 1 ET available.

But, theres a problem here. You see, Carpathian Mountains is more like a true final test of your skills. A temporary end for 47. It can’t have ET material can it? Has no secondary exits, no going left to right for more than 10 steps, and its literally ONE straight line. A linear map.

But, what if we can fix that?

So, to understand more clearly, I made a celebrity elusive target Concept for Romania, and it will have the map slightly altered, like how they did with Jean Damme (Chongqing) and Mads (Paris).

So, lets start with the map:

• You will firstly spawn on a helipad outside;
• You are being escorted to a private meeting inside the train;
• A doctor is greeting you inside, and you enter a cabin;
• You firstly start speaking with the doctor, about this huge deal you and the ET are going to make;
• After some while of chitchatting, the doctor advises you to stay sitted while he brings the ET towards you. Right now, you got 2 options: Obey or Disobey.

If you obey:

  • The ET will start coming for you, and eventually meet you in the cabin;
  • You are both discussing small plans for what you are going to do in the future;
  • After allat yapping, both of you get up, and walk for a long time to his office. Walking through shooting ranges, labs, break rooms, garages, offices, you get the deal.
  • Eventually you get to the office, but have to be frisked before entering.
  • After that, you take a sit and finally get to the point of it. Make trades with the ET, be smart;
  • Eventually get to a deal, or no deal. That depends on you.
  • You can poison his cup, or your cup, or both, or none. Up to you.
  • You will be sent back at the helicopter to prepare for leaving, making you officially tresspass and get you to move on with someone (Ney York move, aka get fired and the targets office becomes as tresspassing);
  • You can of course evade that, and go for the ET again, but since you had to follow a guard to the exit, that means you’re no longer silent assassinating this.
  • Eliminate the ET, and hack a laptop in one of the garages from the train to retrieve information;
  • Exit.

If you Disobey:

  • Get up from the table early;
  • Head your way to the Target;
  • Eliminate the ET;
  • Hack a laptop in one of the garages;
  • Exit.

• The map has 3 exits:

  • Helicopter exit;
  • Train exit (aka Untouchable normal exit);
  • Stop exit (you will need a militia member disguise to exit this: 47 stays inside a cabin until the train comes to a stop in the middle of nowhere, just for 47 to leave the area by walking into the forest);

More about the Celebrity:
• They will play the role of a Romanian Military Leader;
• They are ironic, calm, wealthy, and to be known as a hard-decisions maker;
• Will do anything to get their way of doings working;
• They are cautious. Very, cautious. Near paranoid like cautious.

The role-taker?
• Up to IOI to decide who should be the CET.

So, would you pay 5 bucks from your wallet just to try this out? Or is it a pass.

Mumbai, Ambrose Island, New York, Haven, and both versions of the ICA Training Facility have no ETs, available or otherwise.

Carpathian Mountains level could definitely have an ET on it, but only if they do a lot of rework about the train, NPCs etc.

But as said above it shouldn’t be the priority as much other levels are lacking ETs too…

I personally believe it would be better for IOI to focus on other maps getting Elusive Targets because the Carpathian Mountains level is too restrictive. I would say “Pass” on an ET on Carpathian Mountains/Romania.

I can understand the ICA Training Facilty maps never getting an Elusive Target, but you make a good point regardless. We have several maps that have never had an ET - regardless if they are based on/played by a celebrity (a CelebrET) or an original character (a regular ET).

You can also make the argument for the Dartmoor Garden Show getting an ET over Carpathian Mountains since it already is very different from the base map, and we have several ETs from Hitman (2016) on the Bonus Mission levels (such as The Badboy). Even though DGS is an Escalation, it’s different enough to justify it having an ET on it. It was also a Hitman 3 Content Drop.

So between Mumbai, Ambrose Island, New York, Haven Island, and the Dartmoor Garden Show, I would love these locations getting an ET the most, in this order - CelebrET or otherwise (though it will almost certainly be a CelebrET at this point in the game’s life cycle):

  1. Ambrose Island
  2. Dartmoor Garden Show
  3. Haven Island
  4. New York
  5. Mumbai

Also, the fact that so many Hitman 2 (2018) maps like Hawke’s Bay, Miami, Santa Fortuna, and Whittleton Creek only have one single ET (that I can remember off the top of my head) is pretty sad in my opinion - but at least we got Special Assignments out of some of the maps. So between the maps that have zero ETs, and the maps that ONLY have one, IOI’s time would be better spent making CelebrETs on several maps over Carpathian Mountains.

Yeah, if they did a CelebET for Carpathian Mountains, they’d have to get Dave Bautista just for this scene here.
