Well, technically they weren’t talking about it ![]()
What’s with the edited edgy Contracts cover?
Also, remakes remakes or just remasters because for the love of God, whatever it is, fix Hidden Valley in Silent Assassin.
The thing that bugs me the most about this tile from the Showcase, even more than the fact they didn’t comment on it, is that the titles aren’t shown in order. Why is H2: SA third? ![]()
They probably ranked it from best to “worst” ![]()
Probably because the famous pose from Contracts is more familiar and more aesthetically pleasing. Plus, in C47 he’s turning to the right, and in H2SA he’s turning to the left, making Contracts dead center even, so it forms a sort of symmetry.
I was just kidding, all 3 Games are very special for me. Codename 47 is my favorite, SA and Contracts are close behind. Sometimes i prefer Contracts, sometimes i prefer SA
Guess it was just a placeholder so it doesn’t get empty ![]()
Jokes aside it would be neat to have a proper remaster of those classics ![]()
I have the HD collection with H2: Silent Assassin and Contracts plus Blood Money on the side, the 360 games, but I still would buy the bundle for the convencience and achievments.
Now just need Volume 2 of the MC for Metal Gear and a Splinter Cell collection and gonna be golden enjoying my favourite games all over again in a comfy package.
Finally Contracts front and center as everyone who does know, knows it’s the superior game.
Maybe that’s an early render of the contracts cover art that IOI accidentally used there
. Kinda like how they used the wrong Codename 47 model for the suit in Hitman 3.
If they release the remastered version with first light next year, this may compete with an anticipated open world game releasing next year.
I wish IOI releases this and my personal priority will be Hitman games over any other anticipated game.
I am assuming they didnot get time to present or maybe it’s a redacted image for the hardcore fans as a secret message ![]()
I am assuming IOI may do some promotion/news via Mindseye game coming today.
Note: all the above are my personal analysis with no proof.
I played though the PS2 games a bit as a kid and never got far in them. I finally played the PC versions earlier this year with a friend and had a very mixed time.
There are aspects in these old games that I’m sure if changed too much would sully the older fan’s opinion, but at the very least a standardizing of the maneuvering and interactions across the three would improve things for me. Also actual controller support.
If it’s just a upscaling port without some real work done to them, then I think the PC versions with fan patches are good enough. Plus, if you’re like me, they’ve been sitting in your library for years already.
Probably not. Probably a tease and they’ll talk about it later.
Theres already a thread on this topic, but good to see that more people want some answers.
Unfortunately, there’s no response from @Combatglue or any other IO Employees (yet?).
They had alot of stuff going on around SGF, so my guess is, they just left this out to talk about it later. Maybe in another Showcase, when they present the 007 gameplay in a few months. Always good, to keep something open to talk about later. You need to fill those presentations with content and can’t just repeat yourself.
Probably just gonna be the first three games released on modern hardware.
Unsure if they’re gonna be like the Blood Money re-release in terms of changes. But it’s safe to assume it’s gonna be the same games, running on modern hardware.
C47 is probably the one I’d keep our eyes on.
Package them together with the HD enhanced Blood Money and Absolution and release an actual physical copy would be the dream. But it’s not going to happen.
That’s what I’m thinking you know? We have Blood Money Reprisal for IOS and Android and it’s possible the other three classic games are following? What makes me think they aren’t going to be for consoles is because Codename 47 was always PC exclusive.
Who knows?
Looking forward to hearing more news on it though.
