Classic Trilogy (IOI Showcase 2025)

I did it the old fashioned way and harassed combatglue and his colleague long enough in the chat of the showcase recap stream today.

Not much new info tho, just that they’re “Remasters”, they can’t say more at the moment and they are internally talking about it.

Which makes me believe that someone fucked up and put the image there by mistake.

EDIT:

Don’t talk to me or my son again.

But they need to. Just enough that SA is possible, nothing more.

There’s no rating anyways, also they are entirely possible to complete stealthy?

Considering it was something that at some point was planned to be revealed during the Showcase, I think its well beyond the “talking about it” stage tbh.

How do you save the tribesman stealthily?

You climb up the tower, slit the guards throat, duck, grab the sniper and walk backwards to the opposite wall of the tower and pick off one guard after another.
Obviously its not “nobody notices you”, but if you do it right, this wont end in a shootout.

And I rest my case. Needs to be reworked so that SA (as gameplay if not rank) can be achieved.

I know that from the Monkey Island Remasters and liked it in there as well. Would be nice.

So now we know they are remasters, do we think they will be potentially PC exclusive given Codename 47 was never released on either PlayStation or Xbox consoles?

It could go either way as we already had Absolution and Blood Money undergo remasters for the consoles, so it could be for them, or could it be these are the reprisal versions like Blood Money?

I know this isn’t what is happening but I love to see the games just made just like the WOA. No need to change things. There will still be very few people in the Hong Kong and Russian streets, I guess we would lose first person and duel wielding, and in Anathema every guard would be an enforcer… but it would be fun to see how that worked.

…maybe they should let nightdive studios handle the Remasters.

How about yes. The other missions don’t matter because you can SA them in Contracts, and the asylum missions you can SA the one with Kovacs if you’re careful, and the other two you’re supposed to kill the NPCs, so they don’t matter. That leaves the Colombia missions as the sole anomaly left over from the original game. So, IOI, rework ‘em. Tweak them just a bit, so that it can be achieved that we accomplish our missions without being spotted, or killing non-targets. Hell, this could be achieved just by making everyone you end up killing in Colombia an acceptable target, creating the most minimal possible change.

$50 only gets you the first two missions in Silent Assassin but also a free trial of Hidden Gates. Players must complete Hidden Gates SASO to unlock the full trilogy.

Blindfolded.

To some this is the equivalent of walking through your house, while the power is out, with your eyes closed.

For me. I’ll be walking in a wall.

Hidden Valley or At the Gates :face_with_tongue:

Hidden Valley is perfectly doable Silent Assassin/Suit Only (just use the trucks to move).

At The Gates takes more effort but still can be done. If you want a true nightmare, try it with Tunnel Rat.

Oh so that’s the strategy…

If only the damn truck wouldn’t run over one of the guards during the checkups.

50/50. Sometimes runs over him. Sometimes it doesn’t. Keep trying. : p
