I’m not sure whether how Peacock does is in accordance with the way they distribute platform-exclusive suits. But those suits have no ‘unlocking’ ways, so there’s no recognized data about the suits to transfer.
I second this. I hope this will convince IOI to add unlockable challenges for all three ET coins, the Aluminum Travel Briefcase, and the Winter Coats. The only one I have is the briefcase, but I still think all should be available.
I feel linking your accounts should grant you access to that platforms exclusive suit, but for the Black Winter Suit, travel cases, coin, etc. I feel they could figure another way that still revolves around linking, connecting, following, etc. This would at least follow the theme here with encouragement of linking things to your IOI account and save room for truly new stuff as unlocks to come in the next roadmaps.
The short answer is no, because both accounts are missing time-limited things & there’s no “carryover” between them, you’re just logging in to one or the other.
You can get the Disruptor pack challenges on the Switch account though, by setting that as the active account & playing the DLC on Xbox. You can’t actually use the items when you go back to the Switch (because the pack isn’t installed there) but you’ll technically have them unlocked.
And what if I do it in the other direction? I do have the Bruce Lee pack on Xbox, I just didn’t play the ET there when it was live. Or will I lose everything that’s on Xbox but not on switch in that case?
I don’t know enough about how the game works, but if the game is pinging out some sort of message when it connects - I assume it would be doing it every time you connect to the server but if its not your first connection then the message is just ignored and nothing happens with it. If it is sending it every connection, then it would then send when you’re on an alternate profile once cross-progression is live and result in an additional suit getting added because you don’t already have it?
But yeah, completely uninformed opinion here. So happy to be proven wrong if someone with more knowledge wants to jump in.
Oh yeah, speaking of the IOI Account page…MAN the UI looks nice now. The elements are centralised to be mobile compatible, there’s good use of negative space, and the elements are not oversized. Excellent work, web team!
Lotta inspiration from recent modern UI elements, reminds me of the Epic Games Store store in theme and design.
TFW your account page has a better menu UI than your game and your patchnotes pages ![]()
If you do it the other way around & make the Xbox your active account, you won’t have access to the karate suit until either a) the ET comes back around & you earn it on that account, or b) you turn off cross-progression & the Switch gets its original save file back, which has the suit.
I was wondering what was this and they changed it around great job team
Your progression and mastery for specific maps should carry over and not change at all. Of course you will only be able to access the maps, when you have them on other platforms. ![]()
I reviewed the released information, but since it didn’t mention Contract Mode, I have a question.
Where are contracts created when using Cross Progression distributed?
Is it to the platform of the original account? Or to the linked platform?
Also, when using Cross Progression, are the playable contracts selectable from the platform of the account of origin? Or are they selectable from the linked platform? And where are the rankings recorded upon clearing the game?
OK…I repurchased the comlete WOA on Steam…Just to get away from the damn EGS
Waiting for Feb 2 ![]()
Better late than never but this made my day. I have significantly more progress on PS5 than I do PC but I still play both versions now and then (PC when I am away from home).
It’s a shame you’ve missed time-limited content though.
I still upset about “exclusive” Elusive Targets stay missing for the year of game being only on EGS
A code???
fv9q-648y-9m??-av
or maybe
fy9q-648y-9m??-av
(@IOI_Artjoms can we redeem this code if we figure it out?)
Obviously, it’s a stupid desicion for IOI to let EGS to monopolize the first year of sale of HITMAN 3(Of course, most of the reasons may be due to financial problems.). This led to a very troublesome carryover at that time. And even though I bought the full H3 on egs, I didn’t have time and equipment to play it at that time😭.So I missed a lot of content, and I had to put up with the EGS damn server. At this point, I decided to buy WOA again on Steam, but I can’t just buy H3 through I have H1 and H2. It can only be completely repurchased😰.It’s useless to say more. At least for now, the result is good. I finally returned to Steam to play it.
Monopolise? Dude, that’s really not what they were doing. It was exclusive for a year, but was available on other platforms such as the then-contemporary consoles – including the Microsoft Store. It just wasn’t available on Steam, which is obviously your preferred launcher here. You had options, and this was in no way a monopoly.
…for one month. After that the transfers between 2 and 3 worked like a charm.
And even though I bought the full H3 on egs
“Even though I contributed to the problem…”
If you actually cared about the whole launcher exclusivity dealio, then you would not have purchased it initially on EGS, that seems like hypocrisy. You’re complaining about having to buy it on EGS first, and then repurchasing it now to get away from EGS, like you’re doing something righteous, and acting like EGS is the damn devil or something?
If your plan is to play it via the Steam Deck, or even through Linux desktop or something, I can see this being a more justified purchase. If you’re just playing this on desktop solely to go through Steam because you prefer it, then…I don’t know what to tell you. Other than your now trading one desktop shortcut for another.
So why buy it to begin with if you knew you couldn’t play it properly? And EGS’s servers are generally very good, I’m surprised it doesn’t go down more often. Maybe it’s European bias, but I don’t have issues with EGS’s servers, or Hitmans’ servers via EGS for that matter.
I’m given to understand that Hitman 3 will just look at Steam entitlements for Hitman 2016 and 2? Can anyone confirm that?
So HITMAN on Switch 2 is a viable option for me now.
Shame DLC is skewed
