Dartmoor Garden Show

Anyone know how to get the deterministic playthrough to work? I unlocked it and thought it had said to just pick the option for entrance, but there isn’t anything there.

You have to reset the escalation to level one and then it will be there.

Thank you very much my friend

Played DGS yesterday after a long while and the unclimbable ladder issue is still there. Makes me miss the days when not requiring a button prompt to climb ladders in video games used to be the norm…

Just checking but is there supposed to be any opening dialog or spoken mission intro to the DGS? I know there are randomized targets, but I was not sure if I was experiencing a glitch that prevented any such thing. THX

nope, there’s no opening dialogue/animated briefing thing you’re missing out on so no need to worry. that would have been nice if it existed, though.

The opening cutscene provides an ostentatious display of opulence and euphonious sounds that help to invoke a feeling of peace and tranquility in Agent 47… you know, before he brutally kills multiple people. :joy:

I played DGS today for the first time in a long while. Tried out the little Deterministic Mode for definitely my first time, and I like how it gives you free reign to choose your targets through each level.
That’s a pretty cool, unique mechanic (and once you select that on Level 1, you’re locked into that mode for the other 2 levels, or you reset)

I noticed that the ladder next to Gregory’s room is still broken. It’s all the way down, yellow, but still can’t climb it (unless you use the magical Kevin Rudd contract numbers).
…are they ever going to fix that?

I’m wondering if IO even intended for us to have access to that balcony. I kinda doubt it.

Last time I checked, a patch disabled the climb ladder prompt even on Kevin Rudd’s Contract.

There is no access into the mansion from the balcony, and there even is a blend in prompt on the railing, so I think they were intending for it to be usable.

I’ve noticed it’s apparently easier to leave things in (code and whatnot) then to remove it. So that might not actually be an indication of intent.

If you watch any video of the Siberia (Sniper) map where people are able to access it on foot, all the building doors have prompts, a lot of objects too (like weapons on the ground after a guard is taken out). All left in but never meant for us to interact with since it’s a Sniper mode map.

Just saying.

I’d say that the one thing indicating that the balcony indeed should be accessible is the fact that they bothered to put a sniper rifle w/suitcase in the mission. No point in having it if you can’t access a vantage point…

You don’t really need a vantage point to snipe though. #gitgud

If you want to snipe, you’ll find a way to snipe. It’s not the distance that counts, it’s the bullet in the head.
