Agreed. Way back in H2 I had a thread where I suggested that IOI make sure part of their budget goes to sending their designers to gun and outdoor gear shows and exhibits every year. This way they can see all the latest gimmicks. Things like low barrel pistols with reduced recoil or rifles with electronic triggers that only fire when a hit is guaranteed and so on.
There’s a LOT of unlockables (as many toys and gear as any gun freak or outdoorsman would ever want)
BUT… I will admit that it does require a sub team probably to do it since it does take thought… and play testing and so on.
And money. It takes money to pay people to go on an adventure to learn about stuff. The no clip doc mentioned that a couple of them went to an F1 race (or maybe 2 even) before making the Miami race.
What’s sad is that the deluxe escalation is an alternative way to get the golden dax for instance, but it takes more effort than going into contracts and doing the training facility one where you kill the two guards at the toll booth and exit in 10 seconds 30 times lol.
But don’t we also get the suit for doing the escalation and others don’t? Either way, to me it was clear I was donating some money to them for little in return. I knew that and I did it anyway.
Same, but at least it could’ve been ‘complete 30 contracts’ and have them each only count once so you’d get it in the end but no shortcuts to cheese. Much like in H2 where you’d do the same for the boxcutter.
btw I don’t see recent threads mentioning this: Where do we get Deluxe stuff like the soundtrack or the artbook? I guess on the io website, but there is nothign online yet, is there any release time?
For me, the Escalation Tracks 1 and 2 are incomplete (well I’ve done 4 since launch day). I have the unlocks like the Kashmirian suit. I was just curious if IOI was updating a carryover or something, unless this is new? Does it count toward XP then?
After reading the thread I think I know the answer, but I just got my copy of the game and polished off Dubai and thought I’d get the Deluxe package from the PS store and it’s $45.99 CAD (???)… worth it so far for those who are further in the game, or worth waiting on?
The deluxe escalations are really good so far, but probably not $30 good unless you’re SUPER into Hitman or want to give IOI a bit of a tip for their hard work. Otherwise you’d probably be better off waiting for a sale.
It’s weird if you compare it to the price drop in the regular game too. Went down a wole 10 euro here. Deluxe would then cost more than 1/2 of the full game.
