Do birds / ducks have any story / theme significance in Hitman?

Are the rubber ducks important in any way or is it just a quirky part of 47’s armory ?

I feel like birds are strangely prominent in the series but not enough for me to be confident about it.

Hi. The rubber duck is a recurring item, which appeared throughout the series.
You can see the moments precisely in this wiki article.
It was only HITMAN (2016) that introduced it as an explosive. Then, IOI never stopped adding to the collection it had created.

To my opinion, this wallpaper of BM popularized it.

I would say it’s just a funny moment and maybe 47’s favourite toy

I know that its a recurring item, that’s why I’m asking if it has some in world significance or not.

The first Hitman movie incorporates the duck as well in a fairly organic way.

I do wonder myself about this amusing obsession with rubber ducks the franchise seems to have. I figure it used to be some inside joke that got out of control and now the ducks are a joke on their own.

Maybe it’s a favourite toy of a leading screenwriter or one of screenwriters or somebody from the team who gave the idea, or even Hakan’s himself.
It’s better to ask the employees themselves to dig this up
