Dubai: Mile High Drop is a Noticed Kill?

I’m starting to get into speedrunning and I’m trying to get 5 minutes (ballpark) on each map with silent assassin (but not necessarily suit only). Right now I’m on Dubai and I thought Mile High Drop would be an easy way to get a fast time. Everything is fine up until the moment the first target dies and then I lose SA. The score screen reports I was spotted and had a noticed kill. Not true. :confused:

Here’s my run: I start in the Penthouse as Staff on floor 5. Run downstairs to 4, start the convo with the guards by the parachutes and grab the kitchen knife. Down to 3 to get the keycard from the safe in the security office. Back up to 4 to stab the parachutes and swipe the first key reader. Back up to 5 for the second swipe. Then all the way down to the lobby elevator on floor -1 to wait for exit. Everything is green up until the INSTANT the first target bites it, then I’m red and hunted. I was NOWHERE nearby and (at least in my mind) it should look like an accident (equipment failure).

The frustration is that I’ve watched other runs with this challenge and they get SASO. Is this a known bug with WOA? Who is seeing me? Is it not possible to get SA on Mile High Drop anymore because of some patch? Is there some crucial step I’m missing? Should I be in a box at the moment of death or on a different floor or something?

Ooooh, I think I have an idea what happened. So, basically when target has status of panick, guards next to them are hostile. And sometimes, if they spot you or you do something wrong or whatever (it is quite random), they will REMEMBER you and turn orange after panic mode is off.

If you played freelancer, you might have noticed that when you killed the leader and when a suspect evacuated, guards around will turn yellow and you will get Compromised status.

Just activate the alarm and get away from targets, don’t run along the guards. Best way to watch the kill is in room bellow the golf field, where an explosive ball is held – there is a balcony

But be careful! I believe the place where targets leave turns Hostile for some time.

Additionally - with loose connection, there are moments where you spotted and SA doesn’t change the status, but once the internet is back, you loose SA. Probably not the case, but keep that in check.

Ahhhh. On my way downstairs, Carl Ingram and I do run right past each other on the third floor. I’ll see if I can find a different exit route.
