Elusive Target #19: THE GUNRUNNER (Year 6: 26 June - 5 July 2026)

A small funny thing happened while I was playing the mission. On PS5 the crate in the fortune teller’s shop seems to be bugged where the lid doesn’t close after dumping a body. So the guard investigating can clearly see the unconscious guy in the crate but doesn’t care! Hooray for the game’s programming considering the body still hidden!

SA/SO/NKO, duck throw on the top of the building near the “Cafe” neon lights, emetic to isolate/gun lure him and triggered the explosive while he was under the trap

I almost forgot to do this one (and almost died at the end…), it would’ve also been a 1st try if the AI pathing didn’t make him stand too far away from the sign’s “area of effect” (was waiting for him on the carpet, but he stopped close to the moped).

I blew his head open with a shotgun.

This time I decided to make it easier: sieker into the ear (or wherever it ended up), he went to vomit to a nearest bin all by himself, and I did him a little antidote injection.
Unexpectedly this didn’t help him, but got worse and he ended up curving on the floor.
Anyway, job done, no matter how pleasant it was for the victim

Done. Simple. Used a sieker dart, and the Big One firecracker on a propane tank near the spot where he goes to puke, then bugged out. SASO, No KO, accident kill, 5 stars, HPP adhered to. Flawless.

I noticed something odd but useful while doing my run this time around: the target does not enforce the trespassing zone. Looking at old H1 videos, it seems this has always been the case.

I did something very similar, just without the propane tank.

Then what did you blow him up with?

I started in the consult parking garage, threw the oil cannister at his feet, shot it and he was dead within about 30 seconds. Then spent about a minute getting to an exit. :joy:

Explosives. They’re on the table behind the military vehicle.

Car park start, tossed a remote CMX block, hurried to the tunnel and KO’d the guard and immediately detonated the bomb.

Target under Lockdown… This one took a few tries, as either one of his guards was trailing behind him on his way back, or another military guard was coming to bring his card (he’s in the normal mission too).

A couple times the target would go back into lockdown for no apparent reason. :bug:

Anyway, I think I shot him in the head and hid his body, or KO’d and neck snap. I brought in the sedative gum for any oncoming guards should they happen to see his corpse being dragged to a locker.

Almost got spotted jumping over the fence to get to the exit. :grimacing:

So then, not with the firecracker, either.

I’m surprised the Sieker is valid for your parameters (especially when the durian exists). That dart is a pretty clear sign foul play was involved.

I actually cover that in my post when I laid out the HPP. Not only is that fact only a concern when going for pure accident kills, but in-universe, 47 is removing the darts from the bodies or they are falling out on their own as they walk toward their puke spots and he gathers them when no one is looking. The durian and the canister from Ambrose didn’t exist at the time I set out the guidelines for the HPP, so the Sieker is covered by them. When distances are too great to throw an emetic, the dart gun must be used, as was the case here.

I just meant, vomit gun and explosion, not the specific type of explosive.

Since it’s been 4 years since you posted that, the link is My play style, finally explained for anyone interested.

SA/SO NKO/NE/1 Distraction, distracted 1 of the 3 guards that is constantly watching him, blinded the other two and dashed to syringe the ET

touch_and_go

I’d really like to see more silent blinding items, the fact that the only existing one comes from a DLC and the other ones are all loud makes them an underutilized category (there could be another weapon, blinding poisons, a “blinding durian”, etc.).
