Goddamn it I didn’t know the tripwire activates even when you open doors (maybe I should quit this whole ‘set up a close quarter trap’ business, I’ve failed 2 ETs now for this exact same reason and it just ain’t worth it since failure leaves a permanent mark).
Anyways is it just me or does he at one point just stay near the egg and go into a loop of cleaning the table infinitely? Like he straight up would not move unless I threw an object upstairs to distract him, and I’m pretty sure at least in arcade mode he has a cycle when he is on the top floor as a butler.

I’d say the weirdest feeling while doing this mission again was not having to worry about security cameras on Dartmoor. On my default loadout account I drowned him in the room he changes his clothes in, which is farther into his route than I usually let him get.
By the way, I wonder why they made getting the painting optional. It’s not that hard of a side objective to obtain, and the target will either drop a hobby knife or the painting itself when you take him out. They haven’t made any of the other collect item objectives optional either, and The Warlord has a much harder side objective to complete than this one.

I think they just decided to make the ETs easier for new players in H3 than in previous games since The Liability also has the optional objective to not harm the target’s guide rather than attaching a fail condition onto it that made it mandatory.
Maybe they looked at the data from H1/H2 and saw that the additional mandatory requirements on ETs were generating a lot of failures when they were present for the newer players?

Well this is a first for me. I took the painting out of its frame but neither the objective nor the challenge registered. I didn’t care enough to restart and try again cause it was on an alt account that already doesn’t have a perfect ET challenge record.

I’ve had it happen to me a few times last year in the Arcade. I could never figure out what it was that would cause it since every theory I had would get busted the next time it happened.

Text book. Waited for him to go to the kitchen laundry/bathroom/locker room with a couple coins on the ground to make sure the door closed behind him while lining him up right in front of me. Stepped out from around the corner, silenced shotgun in hand, clugged him, snuck up to the top floor to get the painting, then booked.

SASONKO. My hands are still shaking, wondering how I didn’t mess this up. Only knew the map from playing The Procurers once, which didn’t help either. Glad I did it tho, now the only ET I haven’t played in any form is The Undying. Everything else is done in H3 and/or played via Peacock Project in H2016 (without restarts after completing objectives and replays). Looking forward to kill The Forger again, I have a neat idea for him.

Continuing my trend of accident-only kills on ETs except for very specific exceptions, I’m gonna use the tried and true method of tossing a propane tank down the chimney and adding him to my collection of completed ETs, then use his own hobby knife to take the painting. Still, nice to see my favorite serial killer of the WoA era, representing my favorite sin of the sin-themed targets.

I used a banana (yuck) for the first time ever in Hitman today. I let Cody slip on it while he was changing his disguise. I was laying in wait but I didn’t feel like actually paying attention to it so I let the banana do the work while I took a shower. Came back to find Cody nicely laid out on the floor.
