I don’t have anything specific to say, but also I don’t want to be someone who only complains, so:
Great changes! Great that you listened to our feedback, thank you!

Maybe they could have each of the double-target ETs from each game:
The Ex-dictator, the Deceivers, and the Procurers. Would make the most sense.
They removed a countdown till the renewal after failing?
Only thing I see is a message when I try to enter the failed Arcade
On the main page doesn’t it show a countdown? it did for me.
I don’t see it anywhere
Found this pic online:

That’s where the counter should be (this pic is from someone on PS, I’m on Xbox).
I tried ‘The Nebulae’ the other day. For The Paparazzo I was almost going to get him with a PT where he smokes, but decided to put it on the ledge by the stairs to the basement, then get him over to it by setting down a coin. This was to eliminate the chance of collateral damage to the ghost NPCs near him. So I blew him up. Yet somehow, the guards just new it was me, even though I wasn’t near where I shot from. I made it out through the basement.
The Gun Runner. Started in the school, gathered up the remote explosives, made it to the garage, got more stuff. Tossed it all for the numerous guards/enforcers to take away. I tossed a wrench behind the SUV, then fiber-wired him… But was just barely past the corner of the SUV, got spotted by a guard coming back, then gunned down trying to escape. ![]()
Ugh, I felt that. My condolences. Better luck next time.
another thing for me was the twin i used the emetic gas briefcase to emetic the target and the guard
they get sick in the bathroom and i drowned the target and the guard was like i don’t know i just go throw up where the target is and got spotted by that guard so i had no chose to shoot my way out of there i did not get a good score but i will come back again
Really enjoying the easing-up of the complications in the new format, makes me much more likely to replay ETA going forward. I played The Nebulae today and although I most played it very safe because I just wanted to get the associated Challenge ticked off, during the Twin I got myself up to the top of the Town Hall tower and YOLO-sniped the first of the two twins that came into my scope sights. (Luckily it was the correct one and I didn’t fail the mission.)
No way would I feel brave enough to do that if the other targets in the batch were going to be a slog to replay with a restrictive complication, so this early change to the ETA format is definitely one I’m happy with. I’m sure I’ll like it even more once all the complications become optional and our full array of creative approaches is back on the menu for ETA contracts, with the optional extra requirements there to push you if you feel the need to challenge yourself.
another one aswell is the gunrunner i used the trang gun on and i used the sniper rifle and shot him in the head and i still got silent assassin
I love the Arcade. Replaying old ETs and being able to take them out is fun when your failures are only a mistake for a day.
In this case… I failed The Twin back in 2016 (fiberwired the wrong one) and when it was released for H3 (sniped the wrong one).
I came back to it for the 3rd time and this time I embraced my ‘Wrath’ in VR and it went as chaotic as I imagined!
Dude, compared to what you’ve gone through with the Twin, you’d probably hate the complex series of events that I set up as a tragic accident and nailed perfectly. It’s amazing the difference that spotting and keeping track of that damn watch can make, because if you lose sight for even a moment, you’re back to not knowing which one is which.
Yeah, both times in the past, I lost sight for a second and had to laugh at myself when that instant fail popped up.
This time I figured shooting their guards would get them to raise their hands, and as soon as I saw that watch it was over lol.
Gotta say I´m really enjoying the Arcade now that they´ve eased up on the complications. Being able to kill Murillo by lobbing a grenade into his shack or killing the Black Hat by simply strolling into his secure room and popping him (and everyone else) with a headshot can only be described as cathartic when one doesn´t have to care about SA for the challenges or all the limitations to actually complete the level. Messed up the Gun Runner today by forgetting I have only one disguise change allowed, so I gotta do another try tomorrow (this guy is apparently my curse, since he was the only ET I failed in the H2 re-runs), after which I will finally have my first try with the Surgeons.
I agree with @scat1620 that I´ll probably have even more fun once/if all the complications become optional, but even now I´m already looking forward to replaying these, which is something I can´t say about 90% of all the other escalations, including 7DS (which I´m also going through these days). Oh, and happy to have the video briefings included now. They make a difference.
It still comes with its share of ET limitations, such as the fail-timer, the fact that it´s impossible to restart once you start completing objectives, or that you can´t reset the arcade until you finish all of them, but those are negligible. Although the last one can be annoying in the 5-target arcades, which relates to my next point.
I do hope that all the H1 ETs will be included, and since it´s already been said that with the next batch there will only be three levels per arcade, I hope they´ll manage to mix them up a bit. Was playing The Deceits today and it is a bit of a nuisance that I have to go through 4 targets if I want to have another go at The Prince or The Fugitive for example.
What I would welcome would be some extra unlocks though (if not in ETA, than perhaps in Freelancer once that comes out). I am still sorely missing the regular ninja disguise or the turtleneck+keffiyeh from the Dubai cutscenes in our inventory…
Also, I wonder if we could finally get to play the Caruso brothers ET… ![]()
The Fixer and the Ex-Dictator are two which I´m really hoping to see back, along with the Warlord. The former was indeed very frustrating in the classic ET format limitations (and would be possibly even worse with the initial multiple ETA complications), and I never got to play the latter. They all have really interesting lore to them though, so I would love to have the chance to (re)play them on a regular basis.
i always wanted that warlord to come back and i get my revenge on her
I am definitely going to need The Prince to come back with a different complication than One Pacification. I cannot do an SA/SO dropping the church bell on him if I am only able to pacify one person; it just can’t happen, not without being a big distraction-laced clusterfuck. No civilian deaths or no being spotted by the camera, or even no use or firearms, whatever, any of those would be fine. Since we know that hiding all bodies isn’t coming back, I need this one specifically to appear in another contract with pretty much any other complication.
I always kill Duric by causing an explosion near him, letting him and his guards evacuate to the tunnels then wait in a locker to strangle him silently, as he walks behind his security team when returning to the car park. Starting off in the consulate’s car park makes for a nice and relatively quick SA/SO/FO experience.
