February Roadmap - Initiation Protocol (2021)

What if this new “ET formula” is just that, two different targets on the same map. I can easily think of other pairings like The Fixer & The Gunrunner, The Ex-Dictator & The Warlord or The Chameleon & The Bookkeeper.

I sincerely hope this isn’t the case, but, given that we only have this ambiguous quote from last year and marketing for ETs was completely absent before release, I doubt it’s going to be a big game changer. Though, I’d be happy to be proved wrong.

Yes, and? It would make it more unique.

Not really new if they did it 2 years ago?

How about: “This is probably a way to ENCOURAGE people into buying it now instead of waiting.”

We need to think more positively! :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

I really don’t know why they did this 2-in-1 ET’s. After how they crawled to fit in just a handful of H2 ET’s you’d think their mentality would be to spread them out and use as many of them individually as possible.

I know I should post this in the further deluxe escalation speculation thread but since we were already on about it here I figured I’d share a theory of mine.

The escalation will likely be in Berlin, and so far all of our deluxe escalation suits have something in common with the maps the escalations take place on. Now I know it’s more relevant to the mission than the map but since we have ICA Agents there, I’m thinking the escalation might honestly be ICA-themed, especially since we haven’t had an item dedicated to Absolution yet.

Suits (three candidates):

image
Agency Heavy Trooper (I can see this working very well and looking a lot better in) (6.8/10 chance IMO)

image
Agency Soldier (4/10 chance IMO)

image
Agency Technician (6.8/10 chance IMO)

Unlocks (there are quite a lot of possibilties if you look at what was in the previous game’s files but I’ll just list a few):

(9/10 chance IMO)

(5/10 chance IMO)

(8/10 chance IMO)

(idk, it’s possible)

I’m not saying this is what I actually think will happen but it’s my most cohesive guess for now.

Wait, so the preview that was posted earlier was fake? If so its a really good fake.

Yeah when I saw it I legit couldn’t tell for a split-second but 47’s Absolution Model gives it away

well, aside from the comedic nature

It would mean the entire point of wearing suits would stop being for enjoyment and just to get benefits.

No, it looks good and you can have the benefit.

Being honest, it would make SASO on a few maps way too easy, if you can easily score an accident kill that early on of course you are gonna feel obligated to use it.

Oh yeah, I completely made that in photoshop. Sorry to get your hopes up :grimacing: thought the absolution model of 47 would be a dead giveaway

But thank you :green_heart:

These are correct, right?

  • The Devils Own - Dance With The Devil (Blood Money).
  • Formal Hunting Attire - Beldingford Manor (Contracts).
  • The Black Dragon - Lee Hong Assassination (Codename 47).
  • The Guru Suit - Terminal Hospitality (Hitman 2: Silent Assassin)
  • The White Shadow - Tracking Hayamoto (Hitman 2: Silent Assassin)

Yes all correct except the last one. the white Shadow is from Hidden Valley and At the Gates.

There are only Yakuza in Tracking Hayamoto, no Ninjas

I really hope this means we get an absolution themed one, from the ICA guys. I loved the yellow/black color sheme of the ICA weapons and outfits, I honestly would love one of these. After all, and ICA themed suit as standard suit for all the locations would be the final suit I need. Just look at them:

You have to agree with me here, compared to any other Hitman game, Absolution had the most impressive selection of guns out there. Kind of sad we didnt got even close to that in Hitman 1-3.

IO actually already confirmed that it will be Berlin in Player Pre-Launch guide.

Deluxe Edition Content

The Deluxe suits and Items are awarded by completing the Deluxe Escalations in-game. Complete the first stage to unlock the suit, and the third stage to unlock the item. At launch three of the Deluxe Escalations are available, one in Dubai, Dartmoor and Berlin.

It seems that to begin with they planned to go with Berlin instead of Chongqing, even though Deluxe edition info graphic showed the three Deluxe Escalation suits that the game launched with. I hope to see another classic interpretation of a suit. However there is no real suits that pops to mind, there is plenty of suits like C47 Jungle suit, SA Afgainstan suit and so on. However they don’t really fit Berlin.

My guess is “the new formula for elusive targets” will be: re-run H1 and H2 elusive targets and maybe eventually make everything available, but there won’t be H3 elusive targets.

Llikely their efforts will be invested in permanent bonus missions (“reiminagining current locations”) rather than temp elusive targets, which are controversial in the community, still demand some location changes, scripts, voice-acting, a briefing intro and even a handler.

The output of ETs was strongly reduced in H2 relative to H1. I just think the format is over and the new formula will be “forget new running ETs, here’s bonus missions instead” as a form of continued update and support to the game within roadmaps.
Nearly everyone prefers bonus missions anyways. Even I, who liked ETs, would be happier if so.

I deathly hope that the night vision spectacle is usable and not just for the image.

Well considering they removed Marrakesh prisoner’s mask for VR, maybe the goggle will have such effect in that mode.
