February Roadmap - Initiation Protocol (2021)

If we get a disguise from Absolution, I have a better idea:

Has anyone extracted their H3 profile from personal.hitman.io that did the progression carryover to see if data migrated containing which Elusive Targets you’ve already played? I’m wondering if the ET will even be playable for those that completed it in H2.

In any case, I’m expecting to not be able to play it - and if its playable, then that’s just a neat surprise.

Yeah. They could make more action style challenges or escalations so we could use them, but they don’t so… useless usually.

I still hope for a long range shotgun with half the spread than the others. I think that’d be something new and would stand out.

Also yes, less Snipers please

Also, PLEASE IO give us Nitroglycerine/Octane Booster as an unlock!

Pretty good stuff. As someone who owns Deluxe, the 2 new Escalations looks fun. Kindof makes sense to me that they’re trying to get this content out soon, I doubt you wanna keep the Deluxe people waiting long and it means you can get more content for all regular people. I imagine the last Escalation will be in March, and March will have a little more content for everyone else.

Anyway, stuff looks alright, will be nice for the Hitman 3 maps to slowly build up some Escalations. Sure the Contracts will be good, still not my kindof thing though. Really should get around to trying to make 1 or 2 though, if purely just to try and get 1 featured.

As for the Classic ET… sigh I know I winge about this alot, but at this point, just add the damn thing in permanently. It just feels like a joke at this point, especially for me and other EGS players who havn’t imported their progress so will get to play this again. I’m just fed up of the ET formula frankly. Will be interesting to see if anything does change when the first Hitman 3 ET turns up, if there are any.

See…SEEE I’m not talking crazy we just got a lot of ā€œNewā€ Snipers at launch.

Also I hope FC don’t get entirely outsourced now, it kinda looks like that this month. But yeah the players first need to make a bunch of contracts before we get started with that.

Now I have a powerful need to show up to Paris, Sgail and Mendoze in that…

It’d be also what I like to see from Abso. The Target-Locked disguise is just silly. :stuck_out_tongue:

Very much looking forward to these Deluxe Escalations! The first batch were good fun (even if the third tier of the Chongqing one made me lose some of my hair).

Homeless 47 that should be the final deluxe escalation.

I can see it now, one of the objectives will be to find a can in a trash can.

Love the Ninja suit though wish could have additional black varient as an unlock so fit more with other maps. Be a way to make Colorado map have a more Splinter Cell vibe.

BTW, what is the ā€œThe Initiation Protocolā€ ?

Is this something I missed?

Anybody has any info on the groups the featured contracts were outsourced to? Are they regular Hitman players? What’s the story there? Are they active on this forum?

I think it’s simply a flashy name for the roadmap itself.

Oh, from the Polygon website, it sounded like ā€œThe Initiation Protocolā€ was a thing in itself, associated with a February 23rd, 2021, patch update:

IO is also planning to release a game update that day, but the studio didn’t explain what would be in it. According to IO’s blog post, the patch will include bug fixes and a few tweaks to the game, and it will prepare players for something called ā€œThe Initiation Protocol.ā€ While this isn’t much to go on, IO said that it would provide more information on the patch closer to its actual release date.

That’s not ominous at all.

Two questions regarding ETs. First, I didn’t got the Sapienza suit on H2, will I get it when I beat the deceivers? Second, I got a 14/15 progress on the challenge that requires you to complete 15 ETs on H2, will that progress carry over to Hitman 3 so that when I kill the deceivers I unlock the challenge and the suit attached to it?

They could easily just put the elusive targets into the special assignments section and call it a day, but I get why they don’t. It lets them put something else on the roadmaps, while they work on Hitman 3 targets. Why deny yourself that as a company? I get it.

Well, I mean I wouldn’t really mind if they added an ET permanently every few weeks. They don’t have to add them all into Hitman 3 at once. (Considering they never reran alot of Hitman 1 ETs in Hitman 2, I do wonder if they have to do some work behind the scenes to get them into Hitman 3. Rather like how all the Escalations from Hitman 1 didn’t make it into Hitman 2, and they only started porting them in later.)

I just find the 10 day runs of the ETs silly at this point, especially when you consider that alot of ETs will be turning 5 years old this year. I kindof hope in a year or so time when Hitman 3 stops receving updates and IOI basically moves on from the game, that is when they add in ETs permanently and be done with it.
