I have nothing against Messi, he’s one of the best of all time, no doubt about that. Just don’t see him doing anything “special” to be called the best ever

I’m really not into sports and only decided to watch the very end of the world cup because I had the time and it was on, but it was a pretty tense ending (though a bit anticlimactic to be penalty shootouts. It ends between just 2 people, not the entire team)
I feel so bad for the French goalie. A whole world cup tie breaker, decided by whether he picks left or right to block, and whether he guesses right.

That was one hell of a thrilling match. I can only remember one other match keeping me stood up like that.
France lost with pride honestly. They did their best and can be proud of themselves (and come on, you won it the last time, let messi rest in peace).

Aside from those Rimland named: Ibrahimovic, Figo, Cafu, Ronaldinho, Maldini, Ronaldo Nazario (The only player to ever win a 1v1 facing Maldini), The list goes on.
That’s a bit childish of a response, I mean, Messi performs great with the ball and no one can deny that. But there are tons of players out there who once performed just as good if not better.
And to face reality, His achievements in Barca mostly relied on the magical midfielders (Xavi and Iniesta for the most part) and the favoritism system Guardiola was operating with, not letting others such as Zlatan have the time and space they deserved.
Or if he is dumb enough to dive to the side when he’s being shot at straightly, two times in a row.
