First Impressions and Small Details

Every time he approaches her, he either sits like he did post-Hokkaido or kneels like post-Berlin. I bet he was jealous that she kicked 47

I bet her origami herald badge had ā€œplease step on me queenā€ written the paper before it was folded.

Thanks for pointing the tie clip out. That is pretty cool. I noticed it on the black/white/red suits, I actually don’t like it on those but it’s pretty cool here.

Berlin strikes me as IO finally successfully melding what they were going for with Absolution with a true Hitman level.

Do you know who also loves the character of Diana Burnwood?

Jane Perry who plays her in the Hitman Trilogy.

She is also Rogue Amendiares in Cyberpunk 2077 and Helen Park in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War in the past year.

ā€œFull Price for Hitman Season 3 Is Robberyā€ video - ā€œThis loser didn’t like itā€.

The appeal of anything is often a bell curve with some (like on this fan site) who adore Hitman who are at the one end of the spectrum, and then there are others on the other end of the spectrum who don’t get what the fuss is all about and would rather play Call of Duty because the gunplay in Hitman sucks.

Because sales are higher, there are going to be greater numbers of gamers who really don’t like Hitman and feel robbed for having purchased it. They are not necessarily losers. It is just not their thing.

Those who stick with Hitman tend to be into the game for the puzzle-solving, which requires a lot of patience.

And play Hitman the way it is meant to be played (over and over) you get more content and your gaming experience is completely different than the many who will whip through the story once.

A Hitman fan knows that the levels are supposed to be experienced over and over, a learning of the different levels deeply, experiencing all the NPC dialog, visual splendor, the level design, Easter Eggs and all the agency available to the player to generate unique kills.

Most of what the development team at IOI spent a lot of time crafting (with a lot of passion) in Hitman 3 will never be experienced by many players of the game.

Yeah but if you actually watch the stream he says ā€œthese devs can suck my nuts, I’m giving them free advertising. If you disagree with me you’re just a dev. I know I’m not giving this game a chance, but it deserves to be shat onā€. It’s like Michael Does Life if he wasn’t funny and had weird vocal fry. Which is weird because he got famous for being a fan of Tekken 7, which is exactly the same as all of the other Tekken games.

After completing this game today all I’ll say is…WOW!!

Unfortunately, YouTube rewards views to those with extreme, controversial opinions.

You get noticed by absurdity – and the more absurd that you are, the more that you are rewarded…

First impressions – just upon finally having access to an online main menu:

  • All the associated Hitman 1 and 2 trophies pop as soon as you connect to the servers – except for the Sniper Assassin trophies and even the Prologue missions, despite having all those challenges completed (as those are now linked to ā€˜Hitman 3’ in the list and Challenges tab). I don’t mind it, but it’s strange how everything else popped without any effort on my part.
  • Contracts Mode is now in its own menu within the Game Modes tab. Not sure how I feel about that yet, since it’s more of a staple and draw for Hitman players overall.
  • I’m pretty sure all the featured contracts from Hitman 2 are included already. Wow. This list goes on for pages and pages…
  • There are new Classic challenges and rewards, notably a Classic Fibre Wire, some black Lethal Pills, and a Classic Remote Explosive Duck. Apparently I’m 2 challenges away from earning the All-Black Classic Suit, but luckily for me, I already earned that in Hitman 2 and it’s been transferred safely.
  • I’ve noticed that some rewards have been moved to new ā€˜Escalation Track’ challenges, where you have to complete X number of escalations from previous seasons. Hm. Good thing I already have basically all those rewards.

I don’t think I’ll get into Hitman 3 until later tonight, unfortunately, as I have a test this afternoon I’m preparing for. But soon! I can wait a bit longer!

I’m still not entirely into Hitman 3, maybe the launch has soured me on it, but I definitely love Berlin and Dubai. However, I keep crashing when trying to do the turn tables thing. It’s really annoying.

Anybody else notice that guards are carrying around a lot more silenced weapons in previous games? I think it’s mainly on Dubai and Berlin, which makes gameplay sense because I believe you can’t bring your own gun into the default starting locations.

Finally am able to play Hitman 3 and I must say it is the best Hitman game to date. With the two legacy packs installed it is endless fun.

How does everyone like the green and red smoke denoting food/drinks that contain emetic and lethal poison?

I feel like the green smoke effect for poisoned drinks/food isn’t new, or wasn’t as noticeable as last time. I’m sure it was in the previous game.

I swear this one time I played in Paris, I poisoned a drink and it started smoking green. I’m sure I remember that.

Don’t remember the billows of colored smoke before … Maybe it is more pronounced.

I noticed that there appears to be more new comments on outfit skins. NPCs commented on cowboy hat when I wore one, and tactical gear outfit.

Are you sure? It’s a little weird it was illegal when crowbar wasn’t but I’ll take it.

After agility moves, like jumping over fences or scaling windows, 47 automatically moves into stealth position.

And while climbing and shimmying are considerably faster, they seem to have added some ā€œweightā€ to 47’s running. He’s like a diesel, as if his starting speed has diminished. I have the feeling I have to press that shoulder button harder to get and keep him running.

Without a doubt in my mind, H3 has the best location default suits of the whole trilogy. Dubai and Chongqing’s are meh, but the rest are absolute bangers!

Also are we gonna have to beg for a Subject 47 unlock like we did with the Arrival coat? :joy:
