Yes it seems that I am not the only one with problems. PC players who had to buy Hitman 3 on Epic.
The file Hitman.exe is missing… on Steam.

Probably because you haven’t followed the steps correctly because it doesn’t need H3 on Steam at all. Correctly following the instructions provides you with all the data you need to play it.

You absolutely don’t need Hitman on Steam. I don’t own Hitman on Steam. I play on PS5.
All you have to do is read the email and do everything that’s said in the email. This includes the step with the second code they sent you. That you haven’t done this is what’s causing the issue you’re having.

You don’t need buy a Hitman game on Steam, because Beta version is a stand alone application which installs separately. All you need is first add a steam code to library and then put another beta test code in properties. After that steam will download a game.
Did you read instruction in email?
Not fair is that many people nowdays don’t watch/read/play something but put they negative opinion. Do your homework.

Once the download is complete, right-click the game in your library and select Properties.
Select the Betas option and then enter this code: xxxxxxx…
It works as I am downloading the 60.79 go remaining…at 40M°/s.
Thanks a lot to the assassin’s community , I realized that without you, I will not pass the next step!! Hoping that what happens to me could serve other PC players who read the email too quickly…

To be fair here, IOI did NOT make this obvious. They could’ve gone the beta branch route where the game itself on steam would be used and you’d opt in with a code. So yeah, the “homework” you’re suggesting was quite tricky to follow. There was some genuine concern as to locking EGS players out of the beta test, which they later kinda-clarified on the blogpost.
Damn, I wanted to download it over night, but my Wifi cut off at 3 am and I didn’t noticed of course, because I was sleeping 
Now I’m not sure if it will be finish till 2 pm when the test starts, but I will join you all once it’s downloaded

I’ve had to redowload it twice over because beta codes don’t get kept between Windows/Linux. It’s fine now, but it was rather annoying to have wasted two hours downloading it.

But you have everything described in email with an instruction. Beta test are always a different application, because it’s a different build (for each game its that same procedure). They never said that beta test are ONLY FOR PEOPLE WHO OWN STEAM VERSION OF GAME but that beta test will be on Steam. I don’t understand your doubts

I just want to say this before we go. Let’s temper our expectations. This mode is probably not gonna be exactly what you want…. but if you try sometimes, well, you might find, you get what you need
