So in hardcore mode… I opened that crate that’s to your left after returning to the safehouse. I got a lethal poison vial. I went into my inventory and dropped it - just like I do/did in the normal difficulty. Then I find that it didn’t go into my crate where I store gear/tools. So off the bat I’m already losing stuff. :anguished:

So are we to only take from that if we’ll need whatever it’s offering us? Surely disappearing items aren’t a bug… Right?

Still works the same, but sometime when dropping stuff from the inventory it will remain on the floor instead of going into the toolsboxes

So the bug would be it not going to the tool box like it should.

What’s everyone’s ideal way to complete the “proximity explosive kill” objective?

I’ve found this one particularly tricky - especially seeing as once the explosive is thrown / placed there’s no way to pick it back up again without killing 47
which i may have done a couple of times without thinking…

Today i had the idea to place a micro proximity in a briefcase and put the briefcase in my targets path
what i didn’t consider until it was too late was that putting it in the briefcase while still holding the briefcase actually triggered it to explode in 47’s hand

starting to think i may just ignore this objective altogether…

Can’t help, been avoiding that objective like the plague, as well as the timed objectives.

Throw a coin to distract the target, if they investigate place a proximity duck near the coin. That way you can just pick up the coin and try again without risk if it didn’t work.

Micro proximity explosives have low power and a lot of time they’ll just KO the target instead of killing them. They’re better suited for chaining into a propane flask or a car.

I throw a duck at their feet when I’m far enough away from them and have a chance of escaping or hiding unnoticed.

If it’s a showdown and I have the right phone and all other suspects with the same kind of meeting are … asleep … somewhere, I call the meeting in a room nobody ever enters, and throw the duck in with it before I make my way to the nearest exit.

Put a micro explosive near the place where they perform their tell. It’s always the same place.
Depending on whether that place gets a lot of traffic you just need to take care of the timing a bit but it’s not that complicated.

I bump into the target, drop the yellow duck at their feet, and run like Sonic out of there

The Hide & Seek isn’t so bad. As silly as it is - it seems to be the most doable of the 3 variations. I like to think of it as 47 being poisoned and he needs to heal by entering or exiting bins and closets. Although an instafail (or Agent Down) would be ridiculous. It’s doable on a showdown.

Timed disguises gave me the most trouble. I’d advise not being greedy and going for Couriers or finding treasure chests. If you’re done just gtfo. Forget about it on a showdown!

Kill targets timed. If you don’t mind possibly failing other objectives and have a good, long-distance aim - you might go for it. Heck! Bring in a sniper rifle. I can’t see it being attainable in a showdown unless you (had to?) reset maybe more than once and already know who to kill. :grimacing:

Shooting a proxy explosive still counts as a proxy kill. So I normally knock the target out somewhere, drop the duck next to them and then shoot the duck from a safe distance.

I normally use one of the rubber ducks to be fair. It’s worked for me every time so far! :slightly_smiling_face:

Ahh pets. They give us so much back.

Reminds me of this masterpiece.

Dogs >> cats

Twenty footsteps on a keyboard

It’s very very attainable on the right showdown maps (whittleton Creek & Mendoza)

I don’t know where everyone is at, I’m at 63. As a cross country trucker. I play as I can.

I currently have every tool and weapon. My cash or merces is over 300,000

Merces now is basically useless. Every supplier is empty.

I would like to make a suggestion

Extra tools like emetic gas grenades or concussion or ducks , should be allowed for purchase and unlimited.

This way there is value to keep going after Merces.

Without being able to buy anything it makes it useless.

Or if not unlimited let us back up 3 certain disposable items like grandes. Having to buy ammo would keep a need for M money too, although it should be so much you can’t keep well stocked.

Of course you find timed objectives attainable on showdown.

I manages to do one on a first syndicate, 4 suspects, showdown. But that’s basically it, and I forgo doing any other objectives. It was duck drop at their feet.
6 suspects I could see doing, but a bit down to luck. If I go to the right cluster from the start.

But doing them as part of something else ? With more objectives, another playstyle ? Nope
