Really?
I’ve seen that with smoking, but I’ll check it again with the others. Nice.

I was reading this thread over on Reddit about losing non-equipped tools from 47’s Safehouse when you fail a campaign.

I share their frustration!! :joy::joy:

Strange how your non-equipped weapons stay in the Safehouse but not syringes, explosive ducks etc.

I saw something similar the other day on a stream, in Bangkok, with the player poisoning a wine glass and nothing happening when the target drank it.

As exciting as this mode sounds, watching like 4 or 5 streamers in the past couple of days makes me wary of playing this mode. It sounds extremely fun in paper and at the beta months ago, but suspicious actions makes me not want to do anything with it, at least for now.

The outlandish looks of the suspects are not good for my immersion purposes. They’re all carnival freaks!

Imagine mistaking an explosive baseball for a normal baseball and throwing it at your feet in an alerted mission. Wouldn’t be me, haha…

When you’re a really slow player who has finally hit Mastery Level 12 and can get out for a breath of fresh air:

Dead right. Tools back at your base should not ‘vanish’ if you fail.

Anyone else find the grid overlay pattern on the suspect camera annoying? Visually it looks cool and high tech, but it obscures the view IMO.

I’m guessing it’s because of their consumable nature. The game treats it as if you used them on that campaign you gained them on and died on.

Yep and it’s also annoying i can physically remove the menu like with the normal camera

Can someone tell me, the Only Use One Disguise objective: does that mean I can change into only one disguise for it to count, but changing back into my starting outfit doesn’t? Or is it like that damn complication in Arcade mode where one disguise means even just changing back into your starting disguise counts as having a second disguise?

Changing back into suit fails the objective, it’s bullshit honestly.

I found the same note in the same safe. Anybody know what it is?

Goddammit, I wish they’d fix that shit. Changing back into your starting suit is not a second disguise!

I think that part of the frustration we all have about the tool crates comes from the fact that we are early in the game mode life.

Currently we are all using Merces to buy weapons, to complete the weapon wall, to have the best ones. And I will guess that most people are still a bit shy about using up tools.

But, I think that when we will be above that, the tool crates will roll much smoother. Besides, once you have the right tool you end up doing more prestige objectives more often, and Merces roll quite quickly then. I’m currently pulling 4000 M half of my run (syndicate dependant though).

I think in the mid game we will start to be able to buy 2-3 tools per contract without feeling restrained.

In another hand : I just did my fastest showdown.
It was in Dubai. I spawn at the normal entry, the elevators. I climb the stairs and see at the atrium a suspect, a quick look with the camera shows he has all the right physical characteristics. As I do that he walk into the restroom (the one on the right), and then through the keycard locked door, into the staff corridor that leads back down to the elevator. He is alone. I knock him out to look at his burner phone, and check his agenda. It’s the right one. I take a small gamble. I snap his neck. Diana congratulates. I go back to the elevator.

Faster Than His Own Shadow challenge unlocked. The challenge demands to eliminate a leader in less than 60s leaving is up to the player.

I was in and out in that time.

And then, later on, for the final showdown of the campaign… I was blown out by an assassin that shot at the van I was hiding behind while I changed disguise… Can’t have them all.

I also looked more closely to the mastery level.

I wonder what the “memorabilia” art is. Hope for something reminding of Grey. Really hopes for a Victoria EE.

I understand the logic behind it “not being a second disguise”, but in a way it kind of is.

The complication basically gives you two chances to totally blow your disguise, and then you use it or lose it.

You could get a better disguise that lets you into more areas early, but totally blow it and get hunted down – meaning you need to re-disguise in your suit, totally taking the heat off of you.
You could also risk getting spotted in your suit in a restricted area, but reduce the chance/need for a disguise overall

I also don’t understand it. Is 47 just throwing away his tools because he’s salty the syndicate he’s after got away? I understand some stuff is pure gameplay/story segregation but I wish there was at least some kinda throwaway excuse if they wanna keep that mechanic in.

It’s really not though. I blow my suit’s cover and change outfits and then change back into my fancy exposed suit, that’s not another disguise. Hell it’s my own clothes, it’s not a disguise at all lmao. The clothing/disguising system in this game works weird anyways, I still remember having my cover blown in Haven for… wearing the uniform my boss, one of the targets, told me to put on because I was promoted. Granted you can just kill him in there anyways but it’s still weird and dumb.

I was awarded a Jaeger 7 covert after defeating a syndicate. I took it to Mumbai and tried to throw the briefcase onto a platform so I could take out some guards for a prestige objective (because I was paranoid about being spotted carrying the rifle). The briefcase clipped through the “wall” and went flying STRAIGHT INTO THE FUCKING WATER!

A THOUSAND FARTS!
