ā€œPlaying it wrongā€ is obviously contentious on its own without a lot of qualification, but if anyone’s insisting on playing in certain ways & getting frustrated when they don’t work (or bored when they do work) it’ll be the Big Hitman Fans & not the newer players who don’t have that baggage.

I hereby declare that anyone who plays the game Suit Only is playing it wrong. See how silly that sounds? Gatekeeping is always silly.

Fellas, don’t get me started. I already have a headache.

Speaking for myself, I am happy that I have not been speed-grinding the challenges. I’m Mastery 69 on my main and still have many challenges to unlock.

I so far have not suffered from the ā€œmastery slows down as you increase in levelā€ effect, as I didn’t amass XP early on from challenges and have only gameplay to award XP. I will play for weeks and months to come and I will naturally hit those challenges and steadily get to LVL100.

I also know to leave the silverballer in its case behind the shed, thanks to you speed demons :smiling_imp:

You’re right, arguing about this wouldn’t get us anywhere, we’d only frustrate ourselves, & it’s clearly not what the mods want us to be doing on their board. We’d be playing the forum wrong.

I was actually just taking a subtle shot at my own admitted elitism and arrogance regarding the game, but that’s a good point too.

I wish advancing prestige would reset the contents of that chest ;_;

I’m sure this has been suggested before, but I thought of it myself just a few days ago.

What if we could bribe NPCs with our :merces: ?

But the more I think about it I’m not sure exactly how it’d work or even be beneficial. It’d probably mean introducing new mechanics to the game.

Oh well, it was almost kinda interesting. :man_shrugging:

Such as… Bribing a guard to get into a restricted area. Why do that when you could just sneak by or go another way? Or maybe bribe them to not enforce against any illegal actions.

Hmm… Well, then bribing targets might be a thing. And… just… Nah.

Is this true? Do you know how long for?

48 hours. Or in the case of r/HiTMAN, 47 hours.

Power to the people :metal:t2:

Yeah or maybe like, completing a campaign in Hardcore.

Which I’m still working on, as for some reason I keep pushing my luck and getting into mostly unavoidable firefights.

I was going to say more, but I’ve really got nothing else to say that I haven’t already said before :joy:

Agree to disagree I suppose :person_shrugging:
:people_hugging:

Why leave it in the case? Just so it’s there as a backup later, or to have it as a trophy because it will never respawn?

If you intend to prestige, it’s an instant legendary and one less to obtain for that level.

Arguably an insignificant bonus, but probably equates to maybe an hour of time you no longer have to spend

I read somewhere it only affected people who were not already subscribed. I thought I has subscribed the Hitman community there - either I remembered incorrectly or they took it a step further by unsubscribing everybody.

I’ve gotten enough gear space that I’ve started to always take a breaching charge with me. It’s mainly for safes. I may take another tool also, but if I use either of them I’ll always get it back in the chest when I return to the safehouse, or I can buy it back from a merchant when I go to my next take/showdown.

I’ve been putting off the Prestigious (thing… that wipes out all your weapons). I think I’ll enable it once I complete the Strelok challenge.

I learned something today.

It makes sense now that I think about it, as that’s what all the other targets in the game do too. I just wasn’t consciously aware of it as a cheese method until today.

I doubt that is true. But I’ll try it out tomorrow. :flushed:
