She isn’t too bad as you can shoot the chandelier on her for a collateral accident kill (if you’re needing that objective) and of course you can poison her drink too
thats true but imagine it was the silent assassin objective that be tough
Nice and easy method to isolate her, just emetic poison it
Just like Yuki’s bodyguard!! I happened to have him for my mastery 100 reaching run and if I didn’t have an emetic poison a target objective I’d have totally gone for the hanging lights on the stairs, or knocking out him and Yuki when she goes to the sauna. If they made Yuuto the target instead of Nokadota then that would’ve been horrendous but with Nokadota I would argue it works out
These are all very good points about Hokkaido - it does kind of feel like the map’s at it’s npc capacity where any more kind of congest the place.
On Alerted Hokkaido, I don’t even know how do you get out quickly and silently at the mountain path start. Other than doing some luring shenanigans to the patrolling guards or simply allowing them to escort you out (it’s Trespassing, not Hostile Area), it’s pretty tricky - there is a camera that overlooks the only exit from the slope and the guards that patrol here get alerted from a bullet impact if you shoot it.
The hospital area is really packed with cameras and enforcers for all disguises. One of the worse targets is a nurse in the surgery area, meaning that you pretty much have to take the surgeon or the head surgeon disguise. These are my personal pet peeves with Freelancer Hokkaido, even though often it can be a fun experience too - definitely not a bad map.
I usually just Kalmer one of those two guards and take their outfit. But of course this isn’t always possible depending on your objectives. It is possible to slip past them and down the stairs beneath the helipad, but it’s tricky since there’s an extra guard there on alerted mode.
Yesterday I was able to complete my first campaign after a billion of fails. But sometimes Freelancer mode can be very obnoxious.
Do keypad doors and camera hackable doors count toward ‘Leave Doors Locked’?
Had a contract in Chongqing with this, and No KOs. Single target right at the bottom of the ICA facility. Couldn’t be bothered to test as even getting to the doors without a disguise as too much effort so just left, but didn’t answer my question.
Yes, they count as doors being unlocked and invalidating the objective. Even the medicine cabinets in Hokkaido and Miami count toward that. However, opening a locked door from the inside so that it is now unlocked does not count. The key is, you have to directly unlock and open it from the side that is locked through any deliberate door-opening mechanism to invalidate it.
I’ll need to test but I think the doors from the ICA facility in Chonqing do not fail the objective when scanned.
Does anyone else have this problem with prestige: you get to the point where you’re one pistol away from being able to prestige, and get no matter how many times you go to the shops, the pistol is just never there.
Going to try restarting, see if that does anything.
Not all weapons will appear with the suppliers, some will only show show in the reward crate and some can only be found within the missions themselves.
In my experience, you need to go back to a location you haven’t been in a while. Somehow that seems to jog the supplier inventory a bit. Not a guaranteed method, but I got a few very elusive weapons that way.
Oh really? I’ve prestiged a lot and never noticed this! I wonder if the ICA19 Chrome is one you can’t buy - because I eventually got it in the reward crate, just like you said.
Just tested, the hackable doors, hackable little windows and the doors with numeric codes are all fine and do not fail the “Doors Stay Locked” objective.
In november we get maybe the last patch. These are things that must to be fixed. If target spoted you, SA is gone (this is no how game in other mods work. SA objective would be always one of the options in prestige. No combat (no noticed kills) or whatever that objective is, 500 merces are not enough, same for perfect shooter. Coin in freelancer tools, moders fix this long ago. Sapienza is always in master layout even if teritory is not alerted. Same as ET both concepts are good in paper but shity in real scenario. Hitman is random game with lot of bugs and for that reason is pointless go for ETs formula or roughlike mod, after all only reason why people play those is altF4. ETs arcade is dead. Freelancer on other hand would be get something like casual mode for more relaxing gaming. No objectives besides one prestige and not 18 missions but 3 syndicates at max. I really hope that long yourney of Hitman does not ends like it is now.
Why the heck would you want this? If the targets spot you, so long as they can’t alert anyone else before you kill them, why should SA be lost? You’ll still exit the mission with no one knowing you killed the targets. I have a better suggestion: remove the “no bodies found” aspect of the SA prestige objective, or have it so that poisonings and accidents don’t count, like the main game.
Why? Sometimes the other two aren’t viable and neither is that one; allow for better mixing it up by not having one be present at all times.
Disagree on all of that. And ETA is only dead because IOI are t putting out new ones, which they should so that ones that have had limited release and had terrible conditions to fulfill, like restricted loadouts, can get another chance. That, or release all ETs as replayable, solo and in their original forms.
Can get on board with the no objectives part, but not the prestige one, unless it’s optional to select, and the Mercers that would have been included with the regular objectives, which are no longer there, are automatically added to the completion total earned so we still get paid the same even with no objectives. Don’t really agree on the decrease in number of missions thing.
I believe they’re referring to “Silent Assassin - No Firearms” being broken and uses the H1 SA rules in which the objective is failed if a target spots you doing something illegal before they have a chance to report it.
The poster however is implying that it happens on all SA Prestige Objectives though, which is completely incorrect.
Thanks for testing this. I was thinking it’d result in impossible goals for Chongqing if it was the case, as I’m not really aware of any way getting down to the facility without some form of keypad/hack.
I should have at least shot everyone to get around the No KOs objective though. Espionage is my least favourite set of objectives
