The natural length of a Hitman mission - unless youâre a speedrunner - means the losses you suffer take a disproportionate length of time to recover vs other games in the genre. Iâm not sure how to fix it, but Hitman isnât a Spelunky or a Slay The Spire in terms of time investment, and I think there is still plenty of room for IOI to adjust the mechanics so that they feel âbetterâ (however weâre defining that) given the length of Hitman missions.
Is it just me or are the Prestige Objectives somewhat unbalanced? I recently got one with a time limit that resets every time you enter a chest/closet. You could even use the same one multiple times. Made the whole thing pretty easy. Especially compared to some of the other time limit objectives that forces you to switch disguises or subdue NPCs without being spotted. And it gave the same reward. They really should work on the balancing.
I mean, I donât want to make your day any worse, but you were also only 3000 Mercers away from popping that Challenge where you have to lose 50k Mercers in one go. So close yet so farâŚ
I did my very first full campaign and damn it was hard In Colorado I was sure I will get a heart attack and the very first mission had so many suspects and they were always going from one restricted area to another and in between I tried to follow them to see what they were doing. I had much much luck that I could exclude almost half of them because their hair colour didnât fit
I will relax in the safehouse a little before I start a new campaign.
Do you have missions you prefer? I must say that I mostly choose the ones where you have to poison the targets, avoid or destroy cameras, no witnesses and so on. I think they are the easiest ones.
I do not agree. The immersion comes from the detailed safehouse, all the stuff 47 can do there, the travelling back and fourth to missions, economy system etc. It is basically a very clean, distilled assassin experience. It allows for roleplay. But yeah, you have to let yourself into the experience and, yes, play a bit to get there. Immersion is possible in this mode, certainly. Also, I donât really see how a lot of backstory for the targets would be possible in an RNG mode like this, that is supposed to go on indefinitely.
I havenât been brave enough to attempt taking a large weapon bought from a supplier out of a mission while in the briefcase they give you to carry it in, for fear that what Iâd heard from the CTT that having a weapon in a briefcase does not count as carrying it with you when exiting, and I didnât want to risk wasting the Merces I paid for the weapon. Can you take weapons out in the briefcases suppliers give you, or that you enter the mission with when you bring such weapons from the safehouse?
What is the difference between do not be seen commuting an illegal action, and a no witnesses objective? Does it mean the same thing: do not let anyone see you perform an illegal action? Or does it mean to not leave the mission without killing anyone who did witness you do something illegal?
If youâre carrying a briefcase when you exit the mission, you keep whatâs inside
If it says donât get spotted then you fail it as soon as you get spotted, but if it says no witnesses you can recover it by killing them. I think you might have to wipe the cameras as well? Check the description in the intel menu
Well, the tattoo clue for Showdowns is kind of broken. Was following a suspect around taking zoomed in photos from different angles to be entirely sure the suspect didnât have a tattoo⌠she did not.
Then she sat down for the âreadingâ tell, and a tattoo fucking glitched into existance on her hand. It disappeared when she got up again.
If thatâs the case, Iâm glad. Wardrobe should be accessible sooner than later. I got a little annoyed that I went into Colorado with a suit. I felt odd. lol
