“Definitely getting there!”
Just 2 more trophies to get, Top Dog and Employee of the year.
Will probably take me about another year to get those lol. Don’t mind though, looking forward to the new challenges.

Well technically the tanto works for the “katana kill” prestige objective so IOI’s definition of “katana” is pretty weird to begin with. It seems intentional to me that all Druzhinas work for that specific challenge (although the silenced one obviously makes it easier), there’s no real reason why they shouldn’t aside from taking the challenge’s wording literally?
@Heisenberg I think you referenced earlier in your post, but it all comes down to a bit of common sense from the players. IOI can’t come out and confirm or deny every bit of canon, otherwise they won’t get anything done. Like I’ve posted above, there is always conflicting information from game/film makers when they conduct interviews prior to and after launch on a project. Just look at my example in a few posts above about Transformers: Rise of the Beasts when the producer and directors came out with two different answers regarding it fitting in with the Michael Bay films as canon.
Anyway, prior to Freelancer’s launch, I found an interview where other news sites were referring Freelancer as post Hitman III. The game mode itself is too aligned with the ending of Hitman III, so I’d be very surprised if you changed your stance on this when we’ve been very much of the same opinion on this for such a long time ![]()

This is what I’ve always said all along. By the time the next game comes around, 47 and Diana’s story would have moved on a bit and the Freelance work is just their way of tidying up loose ends before the next major contracts come up. It will probably be a small reference in the next game, but nothing major like you said. It’s just a game mode to show what 47 is currently occupying himself with before we get the next game.
We are all taking the Year 4 start as a reason to round up our challenges isn’t it ?
I don’t know how it is for everyone else, but I didn’t play the game for 5-6 months outside the ETs, and it is good to go back to it, it washed away the ennui.
(I’m at 2492 for GOAT as of my last campaign, and unlocked Slow but Steady last week-end)
Was the banana always 2 inventory slots? I could have sworn it was 3.
Nope, just two slots.
Looking at that picture: We really need another challenge. Looks so ugly with the last line unfinished! Could be something really simple like «Master of Interior Design» for unlocking every cosmetic.
IIRC there is three empty spaces and one whole shelf on the upper part of the wall in one of the rooms.
Wow. I can advance to prestige level 11. I didn’t know that. So it doesn’t stop with level 10. ![]()
100 is the top level. Once you collect all them items again, there will be a prompt to advance to 101, but it won’t be useable.
Level 100 also breaks the counter on the trophy since it can only display two digits.
Had a brainfart and drowned the target instead of using a fiber wire, secretly hoping the timer waits for the animation to finish. It obviously didn’t ![]()
Another annoying thing about the Freelancer timers is that, unlike the regular timers, they don’t wait for the end of the intro cutscene to start -_-
Thought I had about Freelancer when playing it tonight. I wonder where this is taking place in the below loading image in Freelancer?
47 is clearly not at the Safehouse as the Safehouse isn’t constructed with that type of wood frame and those trees are not in the surrounding areas. But what I do find interesting, 47 has his chess board and is doing the same ‘blend in’ motion like what he does when you display the chess board in the bedroom. Plus, those metal chairs are also present, like what you can have at the Safehouse.
Not sure what anyone else thinks?
To be honest, that looks like the balcony in Mendoza to me. But it makes no sense for 47 to be having a zoom call(?) chess game on the balcony in Mendoza.
It’s Mendoza. Death of the Author!!
Its probably just somewhere he is hiding out before/after going to a location for the mission.
The balcony is definitely reused from Mendoza though, similar to how the ending cutscene of Patient Zero reused a Sapienza apartment and had trees etc added into the background to have it be set somewhere else.
Most of the end cutscenes show 47 passing the time while heading back home. Either waiting in the airport, cleaning his pistol, sighting in his sniper rifle, and in the ones for a failed mission without dying, he seems to be just staying in a hotel room somewhere, which is where I think he is for the pistol and sniper scenes too. Taking all of that into account, I’m gonna guess he’s on the balcony of a hotel room in some tropical location, waiting for the next available flight or ferry to continue the trip home, and he’s just passing the time playing chess across from a laptop (which I would guess is either the AI, and he just likes to use actual pieces and he moves his opponent’s pieces accordingly, or Diana is on the screen as his opponent, and good luck figuring out who wins that).
