Probably could have shot her to cause her to want to escape and then she would’ve started falling and died via the death wall at some point. Ez.
That’s what I did!
I should’ve watched the rest of the video.
Just assumed it was her walking further and further away.
I’d have laughed if you took a shot with a Sniper and they just fell out of the sky
Skip to the end of the vid.
The prestige objective was to eliminate the leader whilst they’re escaping.
Thought I got lucky with a simple “Epic Asssault Rifle Kill” prestige objective for the last showdown of my 100th campaign but got myself killed after eliminating the leader but not accounting for the increased hearing of the guards on Hardcore .
The next attempt almost went awry on the third showdown, when I needed to get an “Explosive Collateral Kill” but the leader was escaping after I killed the wrong suspect. Luckily I had a second explosive and it was on Dartmoor so I still managed get ahead of the leader and blow them up along with some escorting guards.
Last showdown was then relatively easy with an “Icepick Kill” on the rooftop of the Berlin biker hangout.
Think I’ll take a break for a while, but when I return to Freelancer I’ll definitely stick with Hardcore mode. The only really annoying thing might have been the increased amount of Lookouts making navigation difficult at times.
Congratulations DOG
currently on the final syndicate of 93/100… not sure I’m ready to play hardcore again
Only just seen that haha absolutely class vid!!
For those who are interested:
I’ve found a list f the different items present in 47’s safehouse in Freelancer mode. Still interesting to get free stuffs.
https://www.reddit.com/r/HiTMAN/comments/10xultb/list_of_all_freelancer_items_available_in_the/
I actually didn’t know about the coin, but think it’s also worth noting the top comment there about using the driftwood for a free briefcase. Makes sense but I hadn’t even considered that myself and could be really useful.
Honestly if you need a briefcase it’s way faster to just grab the battery from the garage :x
Did the last update “break” alerted status in Sapienza?
I’m in 4th syndicate within the campaign, and I had Berlin, New York, and Sapienza alerted due to the syndicate stage (not due to failing a territory).
None of the usual civilians (e.g.,: “chef” at ice cream parlor) were enforcers when 47 wore one of his suits nor in security outfits (mansion guard and bodyguard tested; did not test biolab guard).
Also, running did not trigger any investigation by mansion guards; I did little testing (no running on catwalk to observatory on Level 5; only ran one time in staircase west of Caruso’s al fresco dining area (west of kitchen) of the sound triggers, and simply noticed that running did not prompt “?” in any guards.
Best regards.
True! I hadn’t considered that either
Alerted alone doesn’t make footsteps audible, only Hardcore mode does.
I’m not sure what you mean about the enforcers. I don’t think anyone at the ice cream shop enforces suits?
Sapienza has a unique case where its Master Mode variant (or pro1 brick for anyone who’s looked behind the scenes) is always enabled, so you’ll get things like the ice cream assistant having a different route & the rooftop guard in Villa Caruso, even if not alerted. I think the only difference between Alerted & normal Sapienza is whether your target becomes an enforcer when you’re dressed as a guard/in a suit.
Handy to know about the coin until we get the ICA outstanding service coin sorted!
Thank you for your reply, Minnow.
Conclusion appears that I’m mis-rembering my earlier experiences on non-alerted (June 2024) and alerted Sapienza (4x in August and September then once yesterday) and, worse, confusing the elements of watching streams of Hardcore Mode players.
I could not test well as I’d have to get to a new campaign, choose a syndicate with Sapienza then set it up to be alerted.
I tried testing in a limited fashion with Master Mode in WoA, and found the enforcer “chef” at the ice cream parlor if 47 dons the kitchen assistant (or Caruso mansion chef) outfit. 47 wearing nearly anything else (I did not try cyclist) does not result in that “chef” being an enforcer.
Habitually, I use “guard” outfits on any map for short periods of time, if at all (one exception: biker in Berlin as its lacking trespass / hostile zones and actions are useful, similar to sheik in Paris), and only used them to test the “chef” as enforcer during yesterday’s Freelancer play because the lack of state was bothering me.
I haven’t had a non-alerted Sapienza in a few months so I do not recall the ice cream parlor’s assistant using alternate route for smoking (joins “chef” at balcony, and not in front of the door at the base of the clock tower) nor the Caruso mansion rooftop guard (the one outdoor near De Santis’ office) apply always to Freelancer, regardless of alerted or non-alerted. Thank you for this confirmation.
Best regards.
Ah, I forgot about the one near the office! I actually meant the one outside the attic, overlooking the patio near the kitchen. I’m currently working on a mod that adds more freelancer targets (almost finished, I swear!) and I’ve always wanted an excuse to finally push him off, so he absolutely went in as a potential target
He’s one of two on the walkway between the observatory and the mansion?:
He investigates sounds on the patio although it’s a floor below him, yes? (not the usual “shoot camera” sound, but running as well)
I found a 2016 “Hitman” video (time-stamped) that shows the guard I believe you’re referencing?
While I’m interested in your mod regardless, I probably won’t be trying it for a while as I’m very much working on the basic Freelancer. For example, I still have trouble when the leader is a “blond” versus “grey” hair as in some lighting or if wearing a hat, I cannot figure out the hair color. With 2 suspects that match all aspects of the leader, I simply have to watch them walk under different lighting and view them from different angles (stand at bottom of stairs, looking up; stand on balcony to look down). It’s usually the same woman that I cannot discern her hair color. I haven’t mistakenly eliminated the wrong person yet, but has resulted in a longer-than-necessary showdown.
Best regards.
No, I mean the one that’s on top of the roof, overlooking the patio. You walk out of a door in the attic, and then you’re on the roof.
