47 is a…baller aha
Considering how huge it is, its constant, by-the-second updating of material, and the fact that it hasn’t yet had to resort to posting messages at the top asking for donations to keep it running like Wikipedia, I’d say the amount of people who still use it are innumerable. Gotta once again side with @Dribbleondo on this one. It takes extreme care to keep that site both clean and up-to-date, and I’ve even contributed myself from time to time. Don’t knock it; you’d be surprised what you can learn about something you’re a fan of there that you wouldn’t learn about elsewhere.
I’ll first decide which location I’ll want the showdown (leaving that to last).
Then I’ll do the alerted locations first.
Not a wallhack in this case, Gunther saw you through the bathroom mirror
Next time, close the door.
:51 seconds - 47 should’ve been doing that flamingo mascot strut.
It’s super annoying they kept the wrong prononciation for Chongqing in Freelancer when they actually had a voice line of Diana saying it the right way >_<
I know a lot of people hope that the Marrakesh night and other variant maps will eventually be in the game but I’d like to to a step further. When the dossier says Marrakesh I don’t think it should tell you which one. It would make it feel a bit more alive to have questions about how the place will be when you get there.
I think because it’s more difficult in the English tongue to say it in the normal way. I think they can sort of get away with it because it’s just a different pronunciation, rather than a whole new renaming for the sake of western speakers, like how Beijing was called Peking, or Mumbai was called Bombay, or Kyiv as Kiev; far more offensive than mere different pronounciation.
Anyone sacrificed a map? I spawned in Sgail once. Saw the target miles away and just went “nope” Took the first boat out of there.
Are there any extra rewards for switching on Hardcore Mode? Or is it just harder for the sake of it?
I haven’t done that yet but since there is no mid mission save (which I am a big fan of them not being there) I’m sure eventually it’ll happen.
I know there’s a challenge for finishing a campaign in hardcore mode, but probably not much beyond that.
There’s too many posts to read through them all, but I found a small Showdown exploit:
I chose the prestige objective ‘poison target’, and achieved it with a poison dart gun.
I simply found a suspect that met Leader tells, shot with the dart and I got the ‘poison target’ objective awarded, confirming that they were indeed the target. I immediately drowned them and it was accurate that they were the target.
Completed the entire mission in like 3 minutes, only having seen one suspect (luckily the first one I came across was the Target).
Yep. That works with any of the objectives that require you to do something to the target outside killing them. Blinding, poisoning, distracting, etc. all work the same in that respect.
In regards to this, does throwing a coin or other object count, or do you have to set one of the distraction devices, or turn on a radio or sink or vacuum or something?
Also, a heads up for anyone who chooses the Neutralize A Lookout prestige objective; either having them slip on a banana peel does not count, or they must remain neutralized through the end of the mission. I had one do a slip but it didn’t count the objective as complete, and I don’t know if it would have worked at the end of the mission because people saw him slip and revived him. If anyone has completed this one without killing the lookout, let me know if you did it by knocking them out directly and hiding the body, or if you used a tranquilizer or something and their body stayed hidden throughout without being out in a container. In either case, let me know if the objective completed right away or only when you completed the mission.
As far as I’ve experienced, any distraction works. If the target gets that little question mark over their head, you’ve done it.
I am playing hardcore mode for the challenge, here are some tips for sharing:
- Hardcore mode is
when the prestigious objectives are SA no firearm, SASO, timed silent takedown (extremely difficult to me in showdown). Avoid them.
- By switching to hardcore, you loss all your freelancer tools only but not your items on the gun wall. Better to gather some epic/ legendary guns, especially unsilenced pistol - epic, shuriken, icepick, striker (for collateral firearm), these are easy objectives when you got the tools.
- Crates items are quite useful in hardcore, I never used flash bang items until hardcore freelancer mode.
- Some useful tools could be produced in the safehouse and carry to the missions.
- For Showdown mission, Bangkok and Colorado might be difficult due to map design, but it’s easier in the aspect of dealing with escaping targets due to limited exits. You can identify the target by the distance to exit after triggering the escape. Also, you could exclude some suspects when they escape before Diana saying anything. Dubai, Dartmoor, Hokkaido and Vermont are suitable for showdown mission.
- Neutralize lookout/ assassin could be done after taking care of the main target, good choice when there’s no weapon related prestigious objectives.
Now, I’m Guard Hunter
I’ve played HITMAN three times since the release of Freelancer. Just opened the game to begin my fourth session. Every time so far, my save data has failed to sync with the cloud. Anyone else experiencing this?
It fails to sync when I exit here as well. I’m on Epic. Though when I open the game, I always get the prompt to sync with newer or older save file, so nothing was ever lost.
