That is a pretty cool idea to be fair. I’m definitely up for this if IOI ever decided to change it in Freelancer
This was how I thought Freelancer would be when it was first announced. The biggest letdown related to the entire mode was when the CTT came out and we learned about the existence objectives. They’ve been my bane ever since.
But because of the money attached to them, I don’t want them to go away altogether, just be able to be toggled on and off, individually. If you turn off one that’s worth 1000 Merces, but keep the other two, that 1000 is now part of the total you get for finishing the mission altogether, while still having to complete the two you left on in order to collect the amounts they offer.
If this were implemented, along with the option for a SAPO always being available, plus the ability to use any suit and item in the main game in this mode, plus having Hawk’s Bay and every alternate variation of every map available… well then, Freelancer would be perfect.
This is definitely a good option moving forward. That way those that always like to maintain Silent Assassin (me and you for example), we’d always have that Prestige option
I know Samir has touched on this not that long ago in one of the Hitman briefings. It would be so cool if this came to fruition.
There’s new fix that just got added to UCP that I want to share here, both because I think it’s very cool and because I kind of want it to get a bit more attention from the devs :p
Since launch there’s been one potential suspect whose tattoo doesn’t display correctly - it’s visually inside her arm, and you can see it’s a rose if you use freecam
Jojje found that the model had some bad rigging, and wasn’t following her arm properly. Now it’s fixed!
Of course, this only works for PC players using mods, so it would be nice to get this fix for everyone. It might not sound it at first but this is actually a pretty big fix; since this is her only tattoo, if you don’t spot that tiny smudge on her arm then you might wrongly think she doesn’t have any and that she’s not your target, even if she is.
Glad it all worked out in the end!
On the topic of Freelancer, I’m thinking of committing to another Hardcore campaign again, but I don’t know if to pull the trigger? I’ve only ever done the one and that was for the Black Bruiser suit. I’m currently on 5 million Merces on normal Freelancer mode and just don’t want to blow the lot if something goes wrong haha
Weird thing: I’ve never really bothered with propane tanks in Colorado, and now I’m in need of one, but have no idea where to look even in the main game, never mind Freelancer. Does anyone know where propane tanks can be found in Colorado in Freelancer?
Hitmaps
Hey, anyone feeling like freelancer extra slow right now?
Perfect, thank you. I always forget those exist.
You are aware of Hitmaps, right?)
It is like the go to site for location of items, they even have specific maps for special occasions (ETs, Freelancer Alerted/Not, variants like Sapienza’s, etc.)
Hope this comes in handy next time)
Like I said, I keep forgetting these are a thing.
No offense intended! Just trying to be helpfull is all)
I’m gonna try something. On this coming up Freelancer playthrough that I’ll be doing soon, I’m gonna do a whole campaign of Sick Games syndicates. And just a few minutes ago, an idea came to my mind. In the spirit of Sick Games, I’m gonna keep restarting the contract selection until I get the right set of maps and objectives for the showdowns in each contract of the campaign. I’m gonna try to arrange it so that I have my showdowns in Colorado, Miami, Sapienza, and Whittleton Creek, in that order. And I’m only going to select the contracts when they give me those maps without specific kill conditions. And I’m going to use them to KO non-Leader suspects, grab their phones, and lure the Leaders to specific locations on each map. And when I do, I’m going to KO the Leaders, and put all their bodies, respectively, into: the slurry pit, the wood chipper, the acid bath, and the incinerator, while still alive, and let those be their means of death. Gruesome, huh?
You can’t put leaders into wood chippers, acid boxes, hay machines or incinerators unless you’ve already killed them, since all of these are containers and you can’t put KO’d suspects into containers :x
(The mud pit would probably work though, as it’s technically a fall kill)
Damn, forgot that bullshit was still in effect. Oh well. Change of plan: someone from each of these syndicates is going into those things alive.
