Here we go, for the second time………… :grimacing:

Wish me luck!! This is my second ever Hardcore run and I don’t plan on dropping all those Merces! I’ll post the results on here, regardless of outcome

Good luck, take your time assessing dangers of a situation around a target and watch out for the lookouts!

I’m not sure if this has been answered in this long thread, but how is someone who is deaf supposed to find couriers on hardcore mode? If you can’t identify them by the coins jingling in their pockets, what are the hearing impaired supposed to do, knock out every strange new npc and remember that they have cash for next time you come to that map?

You might turn on something in the gameplay options… It places a :left_speech_bubble: by their heads when they’re talking. I often hear them whining about whatever… such as “It’s so not professional. It’s like they don’t even care.” and other phrases.

And this can usually be seen from a good distance if their audio/speech is being picked up.

Your best bet would be to simply ignore their existence. Interacting with them in any other way than placing a banana in front of them is the easiest way to turn a level into a gunfight, and you don’t need that in HC.

That’s true, though couriers only talk to themselves once they’ve stopped for a moment and other npc’s blather on as well which leads to a lot of dead ends. It would be nice if they had some other special behavior like nervously looking over their shoulders.

Yeah, I get that. I’m regularly compromised by several NPCs at any given time, so the chump change I get from a courier just isn’t worth another possible shootout.

Mission complete!!

Man, I forgot how tough Hardocore can be! :joy: This is my second ever run on Hardcore and it most definitely put me to the test, but I enjoyed it. I’m definitely returning to Normal mode and don’t plan on returning to Hardcore mode anytime soon, unless there’s a challenge or something hidden behind it as part of Year 5 updates  Until then, I plan to just chill on Normal mode and continue to enjoy Freelancer.

Hardcore can be resumed in “Get a civilian disguise ASAP”. Once done it’s a matter of just avoiding the lookouts.

Not sure what to do or if anyone is having the same issue

I’m 2 weapons shy of completing level 6 and advance to level 7 which activates the 4th of 5 Prestige challenges

The Custom 5mm

The Grenade on the new wall

The suppliers haven’t showed either my last 3 missions and I have about 10 freelancer tools that I personally left empty so the suppliers are open

Usually I keep 3 or 4 spots open

I’ll keep playing but hope it shows up.

Overall I have 40/41 assassination challenges complete
383 / 500 leaders

Discovery 6/6

Feats 54/57

Top Dog 81/100

Prestige IV and V

2 items away from IV

Update

Okay about 10 missions later got 2 weapons reached level 7

And for the first time ever, a leader eating food I poisoned lethal didn’t die after eating. Red smoke was showing like a zillion times before and works without a problem

I was in New York, target was near the job applicant / janitor by the vending machines.

I noticed only the napkin no food, my guess glitch but I was able to posion with red smoke

Also I was presented with a freelancer tool as a reward in the rewards crate

Weird lately the game has more bugs

I wonder when we’ll get another patch update?

I now know there’s a bug

This time with emetic

So thus far

NY leader lethal poison ate but didn’t get sick

Just moments ago

Marrakesh hookah in the vip area

Poison hookah , member smokes doesn’t get sick

Direct emetic still works with syringe or dart gun

But lately any vial isn’t.

Weird , I’m not sure what’s going on

I did report it on the maintenance page here but everyone is on holiday break

My fingers are crossed for more bugfixes! My guess is that it’ll be June 5 to coincide with the Switch 2 version launching.

Yeah more than likely. I think we’ll get another one as well in the Autumn/Fall in my opinion :slightly_smiling_face:

Which tool was it? It could have been part of the DLC weapons wall (there are a couple of tools from the Undying / Drop in there) and those can drop from the reward crate AFAIK.

Coming up on the end of a campaign soon, and I’m gonna be ready to Prestige by the end. I’ve never done this before, and can’t remember how people said it works, and I can’t find the posts that talk about it, so help me out here: to have the Merces payout from finishing the campaign, you have to leave them in the reward crate at the end, but I can’t remember if I have to prestige before doing the last round of the campaign for it to work, or if I can prestige and keep that payout so long as it’s still in the crate when I hit the button to trigger the prestige. Can anyone clarify?

It was the coin

Ironically I could have purchased it for 500 in the supplier just before leaving.

Open the reward crate but don’t take the coin a 60k value at the end of an 18 campaign as you leave the box lid stays open

When the computer on the table near the sniper walls lets you advance, you will see it lit up with Hitman logo. Only appears when all weapons are collected.

Once you advance to next level then go back to the rewards crate and get the coin. You begin with 60k.

Note first mission you won’t have any access to anything on wall.

The coin and lock pick remain but can’t use until after the first mission is complete.

I recommend Dubai as a beginning mission. Hard to get a suppressed pistol, and the elite guard sleeping has a supressed smg
