Lol when has Hitman ever been an immersive game?
Boooooo, failed my campaign halfway through my 4th-level syndicate, in alerted Sgail. Got compromised in a sorta janky way, and a firefight ensued as I ran to the exit. Oh well.
I feel like āTimed ā Get Disguisesā is bugged, right? I had it as the prestige objective for this failed level in Sgail. At first the timer would reset every time I switched back and forth from my suit to the elite guard disguise. But then (maybe once Iād been Hunted or Compromised), changing into a previously-worn suit didnāt reset the timer, even though Iād already done it successfully a few times before. So I wonder what the deal is with that.
In response to @pending, Iāve always considered Hitman an immersive sim. Prove me wrong.
Idk but whenever I play hitman I donāt feel like an assassin, I feel like Iām just playing a game and I need to do this thing for this to happen. Iām not like lost in the world or anything, and I donāt play games/watch movies/read books to feel immersed in the world I just play to have fun. I donāt understand how anyone could see anything in hitman as something other than some gameplay mechanics and code
This isnāt a very good explanation but I donāt know how to explain
No worries bruv.
Indeed, if one is playing a game and not having fun, one might want to question whether one really wants to continue playing said game.
Which is why I never finished Death Stranding.
Since itās very beginning.
I exited too fast after I killed the leader, and thereās no option to ācancelā. Whatās alt+f4 for playstation? smh
I play Hitman for immersion, first and foremost. The assassin fantasy is a strong one. The feeling of being hidden in plain sight in particular. Being disguised and carrying a sniper in the briefcase. Getting away without anyone noticing. It was always cool in movies, and itās cool to play.
I like 47 as a character, as an anti-hero. There are gradations of this immersion of course, cus really identifying with a murderer would be psychopathic. Itās a complex thing.
But IOs āliving, breathing worldā is there to be enjoyed, and Iād say you could be fooling yourself if donāt give yourself over just a little bit to this world. I understand that some players have a more detached way of playing, and that is cool. Hitmanās gameplay is very fun, and challenging in a good way.
But it seems somewhat delusional to me to wholesale deny an element of immersion, fantasy, analogous feeling. Otherwise, IO shouldnāt have bothered coloring in the world with hi res textures, thoughtful art design, dialogue, stories. We might as well be playing with grey stick figures.
PS5: Hold the PS button to get to your home screen, select the app icon, press the options button (the one with the hamburger menu icon next to your action buttons) and select āclose gameā.
They donāt, they photoshopped the image. No one has it yet.
The prompt is confusing and needs to be changed - you can press āokā and then just walk away from the exit.
Which radio station?
This just came to me in an epiphany: āNatural/Craftedā probably means poisons found in-level ā ones that donāt have rarity.
The poisons you can get from the Fish, Mushroom, Distiller at your safehouse donāt have any rarity and I guess might also count as ācrafted/naturalā poisons.
Weirdly specific challenge imo
What happens if I lose any of these Freelancer weapon unlocks during a mission? Are they permanently gone then, since they can be gained only as mastery unlocks?
Also, is there any map where I can find a silenced sniper rifle? I tried the Mendoza sniper nest, but the Sieger 300 Advanced was replaced with an unsilenced sniper rifle.

You can re buy them any supplier

Nope, not that i know of
My thoughts about a removed game mechanic.
(From TJGM Youtube channel)
I understand the removal of such mechanic in the last Hitman entry (compared to Alpha) as IOI put emphasis on social stealth and silent assassin runs. Human shield doesnāt fit with such gameplay.
However, with the release of Freelancer mode, silent assassin is no longer an aim. In Freelancer, more emphasis is put on mission completion than the way to do it. Do it stealthy (SA) or entering a killing spree is up to the player. Thus, human shield could be a way to escape from a bad situation, giving precious seconds to 47 to evade guards.
I know it will never happen and IOI wonāt reintroduce this game mechanic. But I just feel that human shield fits well with the new mode Freelancer.
Alright, thanks. One more question. Are these 4 the only weapons that count for Rare Melee Knockout objective? Currently on missions with those objectives and constantly failing them as I donāt have access to any Rare non-lethal melee weapon.
Yes, you can find the Mace on Isle of Sgail if you want (in the Donation Room near the exhibit, and in the Penthouse).
Fortunately you now know who the leader is and that doesnāt change when you use the alt+f4 option or its platform console equivalent.
What exactly is considered a natural/crafted poison? I made poison on Mendoza and it counted, but the lethal poisonous frog on Ambrose Island didnāt count. Do the lethal poisonous flowers in Santa Fortuna count for the challenge? What about the lethal poisonous flowers that you can sometimes get from the item crates in-level?
