I’ve been lumbered with that objective a number of times & I’ve probably failed it every possible way but never for bringing, buying, picking up or dropping a gun. It must be either an inconsistent bug or something else
Interesting: the ICA White Tactical Shotgun Covert comes with the same behaviour as it does in Carpathain Mountains, in that it has an extremely low ammo count unless you can find more. (I think it only had 7 shots when I first unpacked it.)
(Also, it doesn’t react to the PS5 reactive triggers. There’s no resistance in the shoot button)
All the shotguns are wildely strange. The sawed off ones hold 7 in the tube, and then the full size ones with double the tube size hold… 7.
Someone doesn’t understand how that stuff works or doesn’t care at least. The smaller the tube the less rounds IRL. Sawed off should be 3
If anything, for game dev reasons, the sawed-offs should have less ammo simply because they’re concealable, which is a huge perk. That’s basic nerf/buff balancing IMO.
With no context this sounds like some Harry Potter type shit.
There has to be something else that voided SA. Were you seen on camera and forgot to erase the footage? That’s one thing that lets you fail SA the moment you exit the mission, but obviously not before you do.
I choose “SA - No Firearms” all the time, and I also pick up all the guns my subdued guards and assassins drop. Never failed that prestige objective apart from the one time a guard turned around the second I wanted to subdue him and got punched in the face instead, and the one time I (like an absolute moron) decided to shoot the incapacitated target with my Silverballer to work on my epic headshots achievement.
But are you doing it on hardcore mode?
I am not (I want to wait until I die and fail a campaign before I start hardcore mode, don’t want to give up my complete collection of tools just like that).
But has any other objective or prestige objective changed its meaning or requirements for hardcore mode?
Another couple hours today grinding… another Level 3 death (and escaping targets)
Man, some NPCs can see through the smallest cracks in windows… second time now that’s costed me a campaign.
I haven’t alt-f4’d or closed the game mid run at all since Freelancer released, but ugh the temptation is building…
Unfortunately, the objectives in the current build of Freelancer are sometimes buggy and can fail for no reason at all. Sometimes they don’t register as achieved either, even though you did them. I’ve had both instances happen. So yeah, there’s issues.
Ok well that didn’t take long.
I just noticed it took damn near a whole campaign to level up from 72 to 73. And even more (I think) from 73 to 74.
Caca poo-poo.
Everyone is here flexing their super high mastery and complaining about how long it takes to go from one to the next towards the end and here I am at 38 or 39 wishing I had more time to play
I’m playing a little almost every day, but I’m trying not to burnout. Almost have the safehouse walls full, and have been playing the more reckless syndicate types.
I’ll probably try Hardcore once the wall is full, just to say I did so before they nerf it.
It’s grest until you realize your targets is the same bloody NPCs around the main stage performance and they can’t be isolated and if you seiker them (somehow without getting spotted from 15 different NPCs around you) they always go to the nearby bin, i would use an extra seiker round but i usually have more than one target in another unisolated area, and so the cyle continues
Just my opinion and rotten luck
Santa Fortuna gave me the recent experience of suspects deciding to wander from one end to the other of the map without showing their tell.
Oh you don’t want to run past the enforcer at the construction site bridge and instead hurry over the log on the water? Huh, the suspect did stop midway there to do his tell behind the cement machine so you missed it? Too bad, I am sure he will smoke somewhere behind the villa next time!
Only just unlocked the Golden Contender Suit myself dude, still in my 30s!
Welp, I just discovered the hard way that having both the emetic mushroom and a remote emetic gas device in your inventory will result in the lethal poison machine consuming the device. I imagine it must accept all other forms of emetic too - so if you want to take a shitload of lethal poison/syringes with you, easy clap.
EDIT: The tools case doesn’t recognise it as consumed so you can magic it back into existence by “returning” it. Infinite lethal poison exploit granted!
I also do it at my pace… Still level 31. Will be long the travel to 100
Try setting a propane tank and sniping, if all else fails.
The White shotgun acts like that in the main missions too if you put it in an agency pickup. Also the white SMG raptor covert acts the same and only comes with a single magazine and no additional ammo when you bring it in Freelancer
