Alright, finally with the completion of my 30th campaign I have finished the challenge “puzzle master”, the last assassination challenge I had, excluding Employee of the Year and G.O.A.T. All I have now other than that is slow and steady, top dog, and 10 more safes for cat burglar.
Despite how close I am to level 100 safehouse mastery (almost level 96), I think I’ll hold off on the game until they actually update the mode now with the (heavily implied) next content drop. No point in burning myself out on the mode and everything when I know I’ll have to complete an extra 10 campaigns with the other 4 syndicate types that will eventually come out.
Little bit late as a response for this, but I JUST found on the office desk as the highest tier upgrade that there IS a newspaper for Death of a Showman that says “Lunatic massacres 17”, fully confirming that 47 did not actually complete the mission silent assassin like the original cutscene in blood money implies, and that he did kill quite a few people.
After getting one-shot by an Assassin on the final Hardcore showdown, I no longer think the mode’s “not too bad”. What was worse is it happened after I managed to pull off three consecutive Silent Assassin - No Firearms objectives on Miami, Santa Fortuna, and Dartmoor where each location had 4 targets. I’m wearing the Gauze Suit as penance and won’t change suits until I manage to beat a campaign on Hardcore.
The second Showdown on my second attempt is my proudest kill I’ve managed to pull off in Freelancer so far. Before this clip, I had to sneak through 4 lookouts in the bar area to poison a drink and serve it to the leader. If I had exploded the propane a millisecond later, it wouldn’t have killed the Leader. I even managed to not get spotted during the whole mission.
I’m actually working my way slowly through Arcade mode, since I hadn’t played any of it at all before the Freelancer update. In fact, I had barely done any ETs while they were live, so it’s a very fun novel experience. Fuck “only one pacification” though, that one sucks.
This is what I thought freelancer was supposed to be… collect items from maps and bring them back so we can use them on other maps. Use money to buy items that are not on maps and mastery to unlock items for the safehouse or something.
Freelancer, although I do love it, could have been so much more. It had so much potential. And now that dream is gone. lol
We can’t say that it’s gone until IOI drops support for H3, there could still be updates that will add stuff we can use in our loadout in Freelancer. At least that’s what I want to believe :x
While “farming” campaigns for this particular challenge I noticed there were loading cutscenes that only played when you exited a level without killing all targets. What a completely missed opportunity
I’m still diving into Freelancer at the moment. I mean to be fair, in my opinion it would be kind of strange now going back to the normal campaign after playing Freelancer.
I mean I did literally do the campaigns over and over for the last few years, so it’s nice to have Freelancer that brings a fresh perspective on the game
Isn’t that what the mode already is? I’m trying to understand your objection better.
I think some items like the broadsword should have made the cut (haha, get it? cut?). Other than that, I noticed they axed like half of the items in the normal inventory, but it barely matters. If anything, it makes the mode better because it makes 47 seem less like an obsessive-compulsive trash collector.
Sometimes, I skip that 1000. I have lost few times after completing the main objective but doing the extra stuff has cost me. Now I’m doing much better. I’m at 41 and have most weapon’s
