Freelancer - Pre-Release Discussion

that’s cool! I wish that there will always be high demend of money to push player to keep earning them, and the bonus from some simple missions need to be controlled in case that players repeatedly play the simple ones to earn money quickly.
The last sceen I want to see is that there’s few place to spend money and freelancer is played like GTA(without OL) ----- too poor to buy anything at beginning of the game and so rich that don’t give a damn to no matter how much money I spend at the end of the game…

Glad you like it.
I think it would help encourage people like me to break out of our habits. I admit, I probably overuse poisons myself specifically (now that’s a sentence that only makes sense in this forum, lmao) but they’re just so convenient. A mechanic like that, properly implemented would give natural downsides to taking the easier route, without making that option useless.

I agree. Even things like bullets should go up and down based on use & demand. If you use poisons a lot, the price goes up, but then maybe something you hardly use like duck bombs, they go down haha.

So do people think we are gonna get new unlockables (for the rest of the game) through Freelancer challenges?

Because if IO wanted to up their game and blow some minds, there are some lots of creative items that could be added that aren’t just reskins.

I like the idea of a Sieker sniper. It would be interesting to be able to change NPC paths like that from across the map. Also, it’s not overpowered. Just interesting.

Some people have suggested a water gun (creating a water puddle), a lethal poison dart gun (needs some offset so it’s not OP) or an El Matador with a silencer (just because it’d be cool).

The idea of losing your equipment if you leave it behind in a map is a brilliant idea. It definitely adds more of a challenge. Even while playing through the regular campaign or finishing contracts, I like to escape in my starting suit and bring along my large melee weapons just for the realism. Glad it’s going to be an actual feature.

It will make people think twice about leaving 47’s suit behind as well :wink:

How to finally get that topless 47 suit:

  1. Leave all suits you have behind in Freelancer

You guys seriously wanna see 47 running around looking like Arthur from Ghosts 'n Goblins after he loses his armor, huh?.

No, but if I can get rid of all of the ties by casually leaving them laying around, I’m for that.

47 without a tie is like Mario without a hat, it’s a wrong!

I will never put 47 in a suit with a tie on it. Never, unless the game absolutely forces me to.

47 without a tie is not 47, much like Superman without his S is not Superman.

The game is absolutely designed around the ability to change outfits. Not all outfits have ties. Ergo, 47 without a tie is still 47.

Also, ties suck, 100% of the time.

That’s 47… in disguise! Not just: 47.

Ties are awesome. I put on a tie, I feel like I want to take over a town, close down an orphanage, pollute a lake. Ties are powerful!

Blech. Agree to disagree. I have never been comfortable wearing a tie. The only thing I feel when wearing one is the urgent desire to remove it.

Ties FTW!!
You never feel as classy as when you’re wearing a waistcoat and a tie.
