Dumb, yet simple question from someone who has been waiting a whole year for Hitman 3 to be available on steam: I get that this mode will only be available in Hitman 3. But its my understanding that the missions from the previous two games can be made available within Hitman 3. Does this mean that we can access all those missions from within this new mode?
YES we actually get world of assassination!
Also really appreciate the customization of 47s safe house bc there are many different interpretations of how 47 would live in such location
You mean the preparation for killing the main targets from the three games?
If I get this right that still works like it already does, so no changes there.

Iâm sorry
but for me itâs like wearing a t-shirt in winter with wool gloves, it doesnât makes sense for me with those bare arms
Consumable items looks like it escapes the Elusive Target trapping where most probably (and this is a self-report here) probably used poison syringes a bit too much here.
Do we know if the mode has completely randomized sets of missions, or is there a fixed pool of them that randomly appear in a menu? The former would really make it roguelike, and hopefully on PC, modders get in there and bust this to do some crazy stuff.
Also glad to finally see 47 properly investing his money into an actual fully functional place mixing comfy lifestyle with what he needs for his job. Also curious on the vehicles like the motorbike, SUV, helicopter, etc. Thatâs a neat detail too!
This is amazing! It is so much more than I anticipated. Together with VR, and the Elusive Targets, Iâm very, very much hyped for Hitman 3 Year 2 now. Freelancer looks like the mode I always wanted for Hitman, where my prayers finally have been heard about âexiting the location with stuff in your pokets to keep itâ, tho in a different way.
And, wierdly enough, Iâm more hyped about Freelancer than the new map, but if I would have told that past-me, he couldnât believe it either.
I would guess randomized based on premade pool (each campaign is assigned a category "espionnage, human experimentation, occult, financial crimeâŚ).
Each might have their own set of possible objectives, but distributed randomly (or at the player discretion, itâs still a bit unclear)
If I understand correctly it is, and with those leaders you have to find out who they are like in the Lust DLC.
So itâs kinda a combination of many different modes.
Hope there will be more functionality to the hub then mission select, outfit select and shooting range.
Wonder if existing single ET missions and potentially any new ones will be placed in Freelancer before moving to ET arcade. As feels that would be more suitable then the main menu as well as mix it up some more.
If you die do you lose everything or are there some things that carry over, like the house customization?
I think it is just the items you bring with you in the mission.
Please please please PLEASE please P L E A S E free saving in Freelancer mode!!!
@iO
It sounds like again another game mode without free saving but still Hitmanâs most important feature above everything else is free saving! I stopped playing escalations because of this and I hope so much that you donât give us yet another game mode that breaks the most important feaure (the gameâs own loading screens tell you how important frequent saving is and it is ridiculous to read that when reloading a frustrating escalation for the 10th time -.-)
Describing Freelancer as a âroguelikeâ feels as thought itâs more of a smart marketing decision than anything else. Itâs exactly the sort of language which could pique the interest of those Gamers (with a capital âGâ) who have previously dismissed HITMAN for various reasons.
Saving and Loading wouldnât make sense in freelancer, the whole thing seems wired to where if you make a mistake, you have to go through with it (consumable items, having to rebuy your arsenal)
Thatâs what I fear⌠And I really donât have any hope for iO to do the right thing here, but still it would be great if they listen and maybe add saving on easy difficulty or something like that. I mean, just look at the game, it is completely designed around free saving and iO knows and encourages that, I donât get why seemingly all content now does not offer this feature
What makes it even more cool is the stats below each card: 4 difficulty levels and the harder it is, the more the payout.
Looks like my wishes has finally come true. ![]()
This is what I posted in old forum.
[Idea] world map journey mode
What I really want is a rogue like mode in Hitman. But it may hardly to come true.
So this one make a compromise.
Itâs an enhanced contract mode.
⢠Use world map screen to start.
⢠In this mode you can play 5 or 10 levels in a row , or just make it endless.
⢠In each level you can pick 1 out of 3 contracts at 3 different locations to complete that level. These contracts are randomly gathered from contract mode .
⢠At the beginning youâll get easy contracts ,as you complete the level the difficulty will rise(difficulty is base on the data collection of a contract).
⢠You can earn money after one contract is completed.
⢠You canât use unlocked items directly. You need money to buy them. Also the start point and agency pickup.
⢠Youâll lost your items if you are not carry them when exiting mission.
⢠You begin with low skills . You can buy lessons to increase them.
⢠Some new items that only exists in this mode, like body armor.
⢠You can abort mission at any exit point at any time , then return to world map to choose another contract .Do so will mark that contract as failed, and you canât play same contract twice in this mode.
⢠You must pay penalty when fail to complete a contract .If you donât have enough money youâll lose.
⢠You also lose If you die or fail to complete the last one contract .
⢠Get spotted or body found may rise the alert level of that location . It will take effect when you next time enter the same location. You can pay the price to make settle down.
⢠Buy information to get side mission and earn more money.
Complete all levels or lose in endless levels to get reward. Reward is some random items or benefit you can use in next game.
I didnât realise thatâs theres 16 different rivals you can go against which is insanely huge when it comes to content hopefully
