That’s why I play with my PlayStation controller on PC
You know you can use a controller on a PC though right?
Yes, I do, but it’s not the same. Still requires you to have a PC system set up to handle the game and then have the controller connect to that, and, nah. Let the consoles handle the game for me, let me hook it up to my TV set, put in the game, and play. Anything needed beyond that pisses me off.
Well to each their own I suppose. I haven’t even owned a console in nearly a decade and I barely used the ones I did own. Last time I was a dedicated console player was probably in the 80s. I can’t imagine playing games on the tv anymore.
I can’t imagine doing it any other way. Game playing should be solely dedicated to game playing. If I had to have my fun on the same device that I might have to do work off of…
LOL! There are at least 8 computers in my house for half that many people… we try to keep an even split between work and play, but the TV is for watching, not playing.
Any computer is a potential work computer.
Precisely; the console is for playing, while the tv is for watching me play.
Ok. Thanks for confirming that.
I also lost my titanium crowbar on a mission when I threw it to cause a distraction it just disappeared so I wasn’t able to pick it up and I lost it.
So, does anyone know, off the top of their head, which levels still have car batteries in this mode? There’s still one in Whittleton Creek. In Mumbai at least two of them (I’m guessing all) are gone.
Added by Edit: No replies so far, but does this simply have to do with Alerted Area vs not? I’ve noticed that sometimes the maps go by Master difficulty layout, and sometimes they don’t.
Had to escape in haste from Hokkaido Showdown (Assassin was chasing me) and lost my Sieger 300 Advanced that took just 2 slots
I’ve only had to deal with Assassins in Mendoza (I’ve only done 2 showdowns), but haven’t had him or them to get agro’d. I’ve only distracted them, KO’d and stashed them out of the way.
When you were being chased - how did that go down? Were you compromised? Or did they just start attacking you? Or what?
This is fucking hilarious, since I literally game on PC using a 32" Vizio TV as a monitor, the whole setup doubling as both my work station and my television.
You can both kindly shoot me now.
Those that are bothered (for lack of a better word) about what should be the old targets still gallivanting around… What if they replaced them with the Targets from the Ghost Mode? I’m not sure how that could work. Especially for when dialogue takes place. But at least you wouldn’t have the original models. Also, we’ve only had male body form Ghost Mode targets. They need some female body types too.
Just an idea.
Holy shit, that’s too much work.
I didnt take you for a lazybones heisiepeisie
It’s not so much laziness as it is intimidation. I barely know how to work a laptop. Hook up a PC to a television in order to mimic the experience of playing on an actual console? No can do, I’m a simple man, I do not possess an engineering degree, nor am I mechanically inclined.
Instructions:
- Take HDMI cable
- Plug one end in to the HDMI port on your graphics card (you’ll see the port at the back of your computer)
- Plug the other end of the HDMI cable into the HDMI port on your TV
- Profit
And you lost me there.
In any event, I was trying to be humorous with my explanation of being intimidated by the set-up, and while it’s true I don’t really understand computers beyond using them to find information, that’s not what stops me from learning what I need to learn to set them up for gaming. The truth? In my mind, consoles are for gaming, PC is not. I’ve jokingly said on here at various points that real gamers use consoles, but I was only half joking. It’s just not my thing.
Do you know what all us PC people are doing right now? We’re playing games with the Freelancer CTT whilst all the console people aren’t.
