Basically the story goes is that R* didnāt handle the now old SA Remasters and it was outsourced. They did a terrible job and broke core game systems, mechanics, lighting, etc.

I just found out about Steam Next Fest. And it ended yesterday. I am sad.
(A whole bunch of demos for upcoming games were put up. They are now gone.)
Would have really loved to try this one out. The reveal trailer looked really interesting, and this article just makes me way more curious about it.

Interestengly it specifically mentions launch via RGL for the PC. I wonder if that means they wonĀ“t be selling it via Steam?

But yeah, seeing as this trilogy requires a ton of community fixes to work properly, IĀ“m actually happy theyĀ“re finally doing a remaster. ItĀ“s just that you never know whether that doesnĀ“t end up being worse than the original, so better to have both options 
Still, IĀ“m not expecting them to restore the OG soundtracks properly, so that one will probably require some good olĀ“ community intervention

The first Evil Genius is great (if youāre into old PC games) similar to Dungeon Keeper, the sequel not so much. Heard itās pretty mediocre though I havenāt checked if they improved it since launch or not. Maybe the game will have some luck on consoles

As a Steam user and after the GOG release blunder of H2016 and not to mention the actual release blunder of H3ā¦
Psychonauts 2, Disco Elysium and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart are the better choices
