Kind of interested that they brought this back. I missed the first beta round
Not sure if it’ll be too special – it is Ubisoft – but it sounds ambitious.
Also… new PlayStation State Of Play about third party games next week.

I played both the closed beta and open beta and had alot of fun with it. It looks quite similar to Steep, although I haven’t played that so I’m not sure if it plays like it. Most of the sports are pretty fun and the map is super cool too. I’d recommend it but considering it’s a Ubisoft game you could probably hold off for a while and get it cheap in a sale.
“Updated Weapon and Radio Station selection wheels”. Pressing ´R´ more often than the average CoD player is the last thing that bothers me about the radios…
Yeah, especially the VC characters… There seems to be quite the disparity between the characters and environments. Also, everything and everyone seems to have been turned into a reflective surface (kinda like every floor and ceiling in H3 lol).
Karate chop hands ftw!
Ah, ok, thanks. That´s a shame… I´m really not a fan of when they allow you to install a large standalone MP segment only but not the standalone SP. It´s annoying enough with CoD games…
The newer one certainly has better graphics especially with things like reflections off automobiles and puddles but it also brightens up every thing. Was that intended?
The scariest thing is War Drum Studios (Grove Street Games) has a adapting credit for this game. I’m assuming this is for the mobile port since I feel R* had involvement in these remasters since they no long work as individual studios (San Diego, NY, Etc) but now under R* as a whole.
War Drum did the shitty San Andreas remaster.
@Yacob to answer your question the new lighting and reflection engine is a product of Unreal being used as the engine of choice instead of Renderware. I’d say it was the intended effect.
People are complaining about how bright some things are without attributing the skyboxes and time of day simply which plays a factor especially the time part.
The Character designs while jarring at first since it’s a big leap from PS2 graphics which were borderline polygons and flat textures especially for Claude and Tommy. If Tommy was a little more slender and not as tan his design would of been received better. I personally don’t mind it but that’s me.
It does look like Tommy put on some lbs in the remaster
He had one too many plates of spaghetti bolognese
Or a whole lot of gabagool…
THAT is concerning…
I think im gonna end up buying the gta trilogy. I have the urge to revisit Vice City. Nothing beats 80s dance/ pop music. So theres nothing really to lose there. Even if i only drive around flicking through the radio channels. Thats a win.
Assuming the music is there
I’ll eventually buy it as well (unless the reviews unilaterally declare it to be a disaster that is), but will wait for a decent sale (especially if it turns out the music is missing) and also might wait up to see if the RGL exclusivity on PC is permanent or not (not that it matters that much, since all R* games nowadays require it to run anyway).
This seemed to come out of nowhere, but in just over 20 minutes we’re going to get a premiere of the Halo Infinite campaign.
[edit]The same video link now shows the 6 minute presentation. Wow! Roll on 8 December![/edit]
Yep, the largest hope I have for this kind of game (niche, 20 hours long) is that they are goldmine for subscription based services like game pass.
In the meantime and with normal releases model they won’t do well (Prey was another one).
It seems like “Only on PlayStation” will soon not be a thing anymore. Of course there’s already a bunch of upcoming “pre-exclusive” games, but there will likely be more.
I think this is a good thing, i don’t like this whole exclusivity thing anyways. Jim Sterling made a good video about the topic earlier this week.
It’s also hilarious to read the Posts by the Fanboys lmao.
Yeah, I agree. It is better to let more people with different hardware enjoy more games. From a business prospective, it will bring even more sales to these first-party game developers and Sony. It might be a thing that you buy a console for exclusives, just like how I bought PS4 for GT Sport. Now, consoles will serve more like a budget choice for consumers that may not be able to afford a powerful PC.
Playing on console is, at least for me, more a convenience thing than everything else.
I like being able to just buy a random game and pop it in, knowing it’ll work as intended, instead of dealing with all the specs of a PC and stuff.
For example i own all the original Hitman Games on CD and Steam, but Hitman SA for example always has issues with slowmotion and/or all Character Models being pitch black.
I just want to play the game, not getting a degree in Computer Science for fucks sake.
Thats why i keep my 360 around to play the HD Trilogy.
Congratulations to pc for winning the console wars, now wheres bloodborne for pc
Maybe we can struck a deal here, give us Codename 47 on Console and you can have Bloodborne on PC
