The sooner, the better for Blizz.
Remember kids, GTA V cost $265 million and since there are still no clear signs of a release date, it might soon reach and even surpass RDR2’s $540 million

Well after 2 years, the final day has finally been released!
See y’all in another year when the game comes out of Early Access
Imagine playing this pos in VR, especially when it was raining
Well the game was better received on the PC since release
Maybe focus on developing a good anti-cheat system before releasing a MP game, especially one that allows crossplay
Then why bother with a remaster if it doesn’t have all the functions of the original
Welcome to the club!
Yep that is totally why people would want to play Ghostbuster: The Video Game again, it is the multiplayer. Not the fact that it is a better Ghostbusters sequel than any of the three multimillion dollar films made since 1984.
Also they gave a reason, it is in the article: The original MP code is unusable because it was based off of rejected older code for the normal game so it is harder to work with.
I’ve read that part but, come on, put on some efforts into these damn remasters so that they don’t feel like cash grabs.
Well there are those that like to play co-op if the game has that option so I don’t see the problem
It’s also another one of those cases where the original version is pulled from digital stores and you cannot buy it.
How can they when they can’t use the code? That is like telling a man with one leg to run the New York City Marathon. It isn’t like they are being lazy there is nothing they can do to make it work with the time and money they have been given.
Co-op is different mostly because it was in the original game. What they are talking about is the multiplayer mode not the ability to have multiple players which is different. Literally, since a different studio made the MP which all but screams “They are forcing us to add it in”.
They said they had access to 6 versions of it. They could have figured out in 2 years since release which one was the one used in the 2009 release if they really cared.
At least they say it wont happen. IO is still “looking into the issue” (or something like that) regarding Absolutions Servers
Ignore this post if it was addressed by now, I’m not too interested in Absolution anyways
Yep and they had no idea what one shipped and the original code is unworkable and thus is even remotely useful, it took them two years to make this decision BTW so it isn’t like they were lazy.
In fact it is even a miracle Saber can even remake it since you would have to beg Sony for rights to do it, Sony would have to get all the remaining actors to sign off on it, visit the long dead developer and publisher for most of the assets. Even the game’s cutscenes were almost lost, if Saber hadn’t found the original lead animator and if he didn’t keep the hard data it would have been lost.
To be fair Ghostbusters: The Game is worth it regardless of the state of the multiplayer. Between the gameplay, story, and the fact that the original Ghostbusters had involvement with Harold Ramis helping with the writing.
Multiplayer is nice, but it’s not the meat and potatoes of the game and is something I’m okay with leaving out.
It isn’t even the gravy either, it is more like the mint jelly of the game.
Still sucks that he is gone and it sucks that, evidently, the new film used his image to make a CGI ghost of him.
By this point the remaster regularly goes on sale for 10$, so at least you can buy it for a cheaper price nowadays that makes up for the less amount of features…
I’ve never played nor do I know if co-op makes it any better, but I’ve heard a lot of good things about the game regardless.
Sucks they couldn’t make it work out. Sucks IOI couldn’t get Mumbai Ghost Mode to work either. ah well.
CDPR gave some info about the next update for Cyberpunk 2077 and some other things they’re working on
DC Douglas (Wesker’s voice actor for RE5) broke NDA and accidentally leaked concept art for RE4 Remake.
I’m surprised there isn’t a rule set made up by the fans for this game board. I believe the card game from StarWars has multiple versions and I’m sure that board could be made into a game.
So no more Hitman 2016 on GOG fiascos?
Well they made HL: Alyx VR exclusive, they could have done HL: Barney Deck exclusive
sorry for the late reply, but here are my jumbled thoughts on my time with elden ring network test:
performance on ps4 was surprisingly good. while there were some frame drops in busy areas and grass pop-in during travel, i didn’t find it too intrusive. bear in mind, i’m not as sensitive to this sort of thing in the same way you kentucky fried nerds are (framerate drops are like free bullet-time to me), so take that as you will.
i don’t know anything about technical stuff, but the art direction is beautiful.
the open world design reminds me of dragon’s dogma, in that there is a clear through line for players to follow - literally a long road - with plenty of opportunities to investigate interesting landmarks or groups of enemies in the wild. you are pretty consistently rewarded for your curiosity.
in terms of gameplay feel, it is very much like ds3. there are some additional quirks (guard counters, magic combos, etc.), but because i used a prince of persia dual wield build, i didn’t get to try most of them. dual wielding, btw, is straight out of ds2.
of the three overworld outposts i tackled, each seemed to have a unique flavour.
the first i came across was the gatefront ruins, which i approached during the night. i managed to take down the entire camp without alerting anyone. stealth is pretty barebones, but is a welcome addition: if you see an enemy stop and draw a weapon, you’re going to get spotted. if you can take them down without alerting anyone, either from the sound of combat or from your opponent tooting their comically huge horn, the rest of the camp remain unaware.
the potential is there to sneak through a camp and steal the loot without killing anyone, especially with the use of sleep arrows. this would be the first time in a soulslike where the thief class equivalent will have tangible gameplay systems supporting the roleplay, and i’m strongly thinking of going dagger and bow when the full release comes out.
the second outpost was the dragon-burnt ruins. this was designed as a semi-submerged maze of ruins; lots of blind corners and little nooks populated by classic from-bies and shaggy dogs.
the third outpost was a small, completely open arena with barbarian warriors - some on horse back - and their wolves. it was a nightmare.
i ventured into two dungeons.
the first was a very small introductory dungeon; basically a few rooms connected together. it was populated by wolves and had a boss fight. the boss kind of reminded me of a mini-me of the cleric beast from bloodborne. quite challenging, though the ability to summon spirits - an item that allows you to call in an npc or multiple npcs to assist you - made it much easier. these spirits can only be summoned once per life and only in specific areas.
the other dungeon was a multi-floor mine filled with some truly evil miners. i was too low level and just ran through. the boss was a massive troll bastard, not unlike the giants in ds2. it mauled my spirits almost immediately. it took me a ton of tries but, much like real life, i found getting naked and stabbing its genitals helped enormously. with the size of it (the boss, not the genitals), i couldn’t help but feel like i wanted to be able to climb on it a la dragon’s dogma or shadow of the colossus.
after you complete a dungeon, you can immediately teleport to the exit, so no need to backtrack if you don’t want to.
i spent most of my 4 1/2 hours fighting the dragon from the trailer. in no uncertain terms, it is the single best dragon fight of any game i’ve played. very lively. the bastard thing knocks down trees and scenery to get at you, scars the landscape with his fiery breath, and is just a delight to do battle with, particularly on horse back.
like stealth, the mounted combat is pretty basic but feels good. the animation for mounting your horned horse while on the move is delightful.
in summary, it’s a best of from game with an open world.
i did other stuff, but this be getting a bit long. any questions, feel free to ask. i didn’t use magic though, because i’m not a huge loser face.
Very awesome deconstruction, im busy now so ill ask some questions later
Ooh id like to see how he squares up against midir
i love the midir fight, but while the one in elden ring has similarities, a few factors make it feel more dynamic to me: scenery destruction, larger play area, option to fight on horseback, spirit summons, etc.
