transform is one way to describe the impact nfts have had on selling digital art. fucking ruined would be more appropiate, any self respecting artists wouldnt do nfts, which coincidentally is why they all look like garbage.
Yup, deeply transform but maybe not in the right direction.
I think Steam did the right thing by banning NFTs games for the moment, itâs still too early to introduce this to gamers without regulation (if itâs regulable) and this is the opinion of Xbox Phil Spencer too.
Oh, godâŚ
âEach Digit is a unique collectible that features its own serial number for others to see in-game,â
Ooh wow you get to be a proud owner of some grey pants with 3 exclusive numbers on it⌠while also consuming tons of energy.
Lots of little rumours for the Game Awards. However the Sonic Twitter has basically confirmed theyâll be unveiling⌠something. Be it Sonic Frontiers, more info on Sonic Origins, or a trailer for the second Sonic Movie. Also rumoured that Persona 5 Royal may be getting a PC release due to some Steam data being changed by Atlus.
Iâm sure Geoff Keighley would kill for a Sonic Movie 2 trailer. Or any upcoming blockbuster, given thereâs usually one major star presenter each year to plug a movie (with varying degrees of awkward).
I wonder if itâs too soon to have a Mario movie teaserâŚ
The Sonic Movie Twitter has been hinting at something as well, and theyâve just confirmed Tails is going to actually be voiced by his actual game VA, rather than a celebrity, which is neat. So Iâm guessing a trailer for Sonic Movie 2 seems most likely now. Hopefully a game trailer too, we still donât know what type of game Frontiers even if is. All the rumours point to Sonicâs first attempt at an open world game.
Nintendo would be the one pulling the trigger on a Mario movie trigger. Soooooo probably not.
Fantastic. Iâm pretty sure the one line he had in the after-creduts scene of the first one was also his game VA so Iâm glad they havenât been replaced.
Yeah, thatâs also true. They did reveal the OLED Switch on their own terms completely randomly this summer, so I wouldnât put it past them.
But theyâve had big presence in previous Game Awards so itâs not entirely unlikely, especially given the amount of live viewers each year.
Youâre right, so it is pretty good news. Although I must admit with the very late announcement of this, I wonder if they had a celeb planned for Tails but they pulled out at the last minute.
Also, as trivia, Colleen OâShaughnessey, is the voice of the magazine editor who wants to bribe Novikov in Paris.
Idris Elba has also confirmed that knuckles wont be voiced in a sexy way in sonic 2
Speaking of the TGA. With their surprising amount of intersection with the movie industry, at how much do we put the probability of an appearance of Project 007 ?
Latest movie is still recent and in peopleâs mind.
(I will still be mostly looking for Obsidian, Josh Sawyerâs Disco Elysium inspired, XVIth century, no-combat RPG is pretty much the only game Iâm curious about currently)
Possible but I also think that at the moment, the focus of the Bond franchise right now is DVD/Blu-Ray sales of No Time to Die. In a sense, I actually think Project 007 will thrive in media in the gap between the latest movie and not knowing who the next actor is, since we know this game will just use a unique Bond. But really I doubt the movie makers care too much about the video game aside from it being a product to focus on.
On the contrary, they stopped making Bond games for a decade and removed existing games from sale because they felt the quality did not live up to their standards. Obviously this game wonât be as important to them as the films, but I think they do care about it.
Was that the reason games were delisted? I never knew that, I thought it was due to weird licencing issues. And really I thought Activison quit Bond development due to how badly Blood Stone and Legends did in sales (partly due to Legendsâ terrible quality I imagine.)
Interesting if the Bond people have more vested interest in this title. Itâs certainly not unheard of, I know Michael G Wilson had a bit of involvement in James Bond Jr inbetween Licence to Kill and Goldeneye.
Remember when R* made SP expansion packs like TLaD and TBoGT for GTA 4? Good timesâŚ
You might be right about that. I just remember 007 Legends (terrible game btw) being pulled very soon after release, so I assumed it couldnât be a license issue - how could the license for an almost brand new game expire?!? But I might be incorrect in that assumption. Maybe some legal dispute?
Arguably one of the biggest updates to GTA Online in awhile. Option C for GTA V is the canon ending, but I digress all Story Mode content was reworked into Online now which brings me to this new update which is entirely new.
Rockstar is slated to attend the Game Awards in some capacity, it will be likely one of three things.
-
Absolutely Nothing (most likely)
-
Something GTA related (either marketing for this update or something to appease the disaster that was the Trilogy after its launch)
-
Red Dead Redemption 2 for Next Gen Consoles (my person wishful thinking here that wonât amount to anything, but RDR2 needs the Next Gen Treatment).
