Well it’s still easier for me to remember than Kyiv. The old Chernobyl and Kiev writings were similar / identical to the Romanian spelling, Cernobül and Kiev

Just remember J. K. Rowling isn’t involved so the game can be good.

What if you not only hate Rowling but also think less of the Wizarding World as a whole because it has huge flaws. Also why did all the magic people do nothing during every bad thing that has ever happened to the human race? Like we know the institutionalisation of magic dates to at least Pre-Columbian civilisations yet they were still conquered.

What does this mean for the relationship between John Dee and Elizabeth?

What does the Wizarding World mean for the Church of Satan and the Satanic Church?

What does this say about Nostradamus’ work for Catherine di Medici?

Is Rasputin a Russian wizard that decided to get shit done or be a jag-off?

Did a ye olde ministry of magic arrest Judah Lowe for creating the Golem of Prague?

Was Jesus a wizard?

Was that magic bullet (the shot heard around the world) actually magic and Oswald was secretly a wizard?

Are American wizarding schools as underfunded and rife with violence as traditional Muggle-American institutions?

Was every member of the Lake Placid US Ice Hockey team actual miracle workers?

If magic in their world is real and broadly defined along classical European traditions does this mean that you could learn Midas’ secrets therefore restoring the economy of Greece?

Is magic universal or does it adhere to the traditions of each countries beliefs in magic? Do these metaphysical laws change as our perceptions of magic traditions change?

Magic and mythical beings are two different things so how does one necessitate the other? Are they simply constructs that magic makes real? If so does this mean the Wizarding World is no different to Thedas and the Veil? Where magic is actually the manipulation of an axillary realm to produce a desired effect with the occasionally bleed that results in creatures spawning from human perception?

If I existed in the Harry Potter universe would my name be Bruce Boomerang, Bruce Matey or Dundee Vegemite?

No, but since it uses her IP, she probably gets a cut of the profits.

The fact that they’re doing original writing/prequel stuff sounds cool.

Dr Disrespect is like if you used the Weird Science machine to spit out a human incarnation of Geek Internet.

Jesus Christ this game looks huge. I was thinking it was a narrative-driven game, with light RPG elements, but nah, it’s full on RPG exploratory adventure.

I
am not so thrilled about the school sim elements (and a bunch of resource-gathering/creating timers), but the rest involving exploration, combat and story looks neat, if it doesn’t get dull over time.

edit: oops I guess I stole your thunder, EGR! I saw you typing there for a second lol

It looks good, and that’s why I’m skeptical. I honestly can only think of a few big games from the last two years or so that had a good release and wasn’t bugged to the ends of the world and back

I was never fond of my school’s system either. Also it would really sucked if they had a bad school system in a game set in a universe that revolves around a school.

Sorry but that is due to Thatcher era budgetary restraints. The Ministry of Magic has yet to make education reform a top priority.

Yesterday was a sad day for Gran Turismo fans. Not just with 34 hours long server maintenance, but also the reduced amount of moneymaking with certain race events.

For anything related to HITMAN, I do think this is a warning sign of the “always online” aspect of singleplayer campaign. Think about how many will complain here at HMF if the service is taken down that long.

Hard not to feel deflated about it. Feels very scummy coming just, what, a couple weeks after the initial reviews? Curious how much money you can feasibly make without doing a ton of grinding.

I did manage to win a Ford Mustang Gr.4 in my daily workout roulette ticket, so got that going for me at least, which is nice.

Ah, after the server maintenance I won a regular McLaren 650S with a 5-star ticket, but I think your Mustang racecar is rather more useful at the time, since cafĂ© menu don’t grant any of the Gr.4 cars. Nice one! :+1:

Still what’s even more ridiculous happened earlier today, where the legendary car shop got refreshed with new cars. And McLaren F1, the fastest natural aspirated car in the world, costs a whooping 18.5 mil credits! That equals to 21 hours of grinding the most profitable event in-game, or rather 200€ via microtransaction. Oh well, I will stick with my current set of vehicles for now. :joy:

That is not Geralt’s amulet! We might play a different witcher? Damn I really like the grumpy guy. Still I look forward to it and hope it will not be a new Cyberpunk fiasco.

Let’s establish that RedEngine isn’t being used but Unreal. This is good news.

It sounds like Ubisoft is planning a showcase of the 20 or so games under development, including a sequel to Fenyx Rising. Yay! I loved that game.

Some of the suggested release dates are this year, others are in the future, but there’s certainly a wide variety of games that most of us could find something to get excited about.
