Games like hitman?

Are there any other non linear sandbox games like hitman? with the atmosphere of everyday events and locations like Hitman? Other than that game alkelines Gun? which i heard wasnt that great, are there any others? I dont want any zombies, apocolypse or fire fight gun battle games either.

Death to Spies is a bit like classic Hitman, and the newer Sniper Elite games take a lot from the modern Hitman games.

are you only sniping in that game or can you roam around as a normal player in the enviornment?

You wander around large environments taking down targets. You can snipe or use other methods, although sniping tends to be recommended.

I’ve not played much of it, but I’ve heard others make the same comparison. It seemed pretty good, but it’s just getting around to playing it when I have Hitman to play

I recommend you play Just Cause 3. It’s a great open world game with lots of freedom, just like Hitman

I feel like there’s nothing really like Hitman unfortunately.

But off the top of my head, you might like the Thief games, Metal Gear Solid V, Ghost Recon Wildlands, Splinter Cell, or Sniper Elite like The Elite Institute suggested.

Party Hard also has that feel. You sneak around parties trying to kill people. You can use environmental kills for accidents too.

I quote myself from an older topic:

I just started Sniper Elite 4 yesterday and it is effectively Hitman with more action and less social stealth. Big open maps Specific targets to get / kill freedom of approach Stealth is helpful but not neccessary You will replay the levels over and over, find new ways, become better and better…

Dishonored: First person Hitman with magic (optional) where you can choose what to do with the targets.

I loved it, but didn’t find it as replayable as Hitman. There are no mastery levels and unlocks and challenges for repeating missions

Probably the only reason IO Interactive is still around, lol

Alekhine’s Gun is just awful.

thats what i heard . but it looks so good. probably closest to hitman by the looks of it.

Unironically this. It’s not as long or open ended as Hitman, but it has a lot of the same DNA at a more bite sized scale. You’re a goose trying to steal objects from people. You have the freedom to wander around the map and tackle the thefts in whatever order you choose. Humans are guarding the objects in someway. Direct confrontation is discouraged.

Essentially, the basic gameplay loop is setting up distractions to isolate the target so you can move in and take them.
