Also that Iowa bill fines the teachers who block the cameras. Where is that fine for the police?
The Oklahomo one is per student head, a teacher teaching a standard max capacity class can be sued as much as 300,000 dollars out of their own pocket

The moral of the story? If you want to stunt your children this badly in the mind, then you should home school them.

The war crimes trial against Ben Roberts-Smith continues and it looks more and more likely his defamation trials are going to go south.

Funny, when you are a native blocking construction the police are on you in a flash calling you criminals but when you are while and keeping people up for a week straight, stealing from the homeless, smashing stores with gay flags, pissing on memorials and the like then you are just unruly rabble.

Can’t white figure out why that is the way that it is.

Another British MP has publicly stated he has sent a letter of no confidence against Boris Johnson. Over a dozen have been sent, the Parliament needs 54 letters to force a vote of no confidence.

Says nothing about destroying the cameras though. #CreativeSolutions #JustSayin.

I am all but certain it is then “destruction of the school telescreen” and the poor teacher has their pay docked to replace it.

It would have to be legislated bc Iowa teachers have a powerful closed shop union; no way they agree to that :joy:

Well that sounds like a good excuse to punish a union, Republicans like going after them as well.

Note: This does not extend to Police unions of course.

Actually it does. They hate that the police have unions but will court their vote while plotting to undue them when they undue all the other ones.

Of course a lot of the police and fire union members vote right which is totally against their interests. Thankfully where I live it’s not so bad despite a rather loud FOP boss who’s antivax

These people are going to be pissed when we replace them with robots and FSD trucks first because of shit like this.

I dread the day when Joe Rogan runs over a group of people while drug driving then tries saying it is OK because he is an idiot and knows he is an idiot.

Nice pictures, BJ.

I love how Europeans will say America is full of backwards racists, act all smug and superior thinking they are tolerant but then get aggressively racist towards Romani people.

So I have to ask, why not simply let the mountain lions loose to eat the rich people, seize their mansions and assets and then simply let as many of the homeless into the mansions as possible?

Lots of charities involve some nonsense. Every pro athlete and politician and Hollywood star who is married to a normal person (read that as one who doesn’t earn a lot of money) has a foundation that their spouse runs and they pay the spouse a very high salary that mostly comes from the donation of the person who’s foundation it is. The foundation has a car and a dinner expense account and some “office space” inside their home or maybe at the fancy condo they own in Miami. All they are doing is converting taxable money to non taxable money. I’m not saying they don’t actually do some good. They do. But it works out really well for the people involved in running it too.

The same can be said about the big name not for profits and charities as well. ASPCA pays their CEO 750k yearly. Tiffany Carr runs the Florida Coalition against Domestic Violence and is paid over 4 million a year. United Ways boss is paid 1 million + a year and that’s after they took away all the perks and high pay bc of the huge scandal they had years ago where their boss at the time had the penthouse in NY for his girlfriend that was being paid for by the charity.

The only way to fix it is to start taxing charities the same as any for profit corporation. Then there is no incentive to start one where only 15% of the money actually does anything good. Of course, that would force a lot of the good ones to close or cut back too.

IL, MA, CA, and NY to announce an end to indoor mask mandates or a sharp curtailing of those mandates soon (likely today). I’m off today so when the announcements come I’ll post them. It’s still unknown if they will be implemented immediately or have some future date such as Feb 15 or March 1.

Yea I’m not sure it’s the best move. At least he’s waiting till the end of Feb when the warm weather should be here. All the big blue states are moving in that direction though so I think it’s political survivalism. Even my farthest left friends are tired of masks.
