If the SNP can keep to their word and deliver another independence referendum by the end of 2023, I will be very happy. I’m almost certain we will have independence in the next referendum.

Find it difficult to wonder if independence is a good thing at this point in time. Feels like we’re still reeling from COVID-19, and I wonder if we’re due for a recession soon. I’d be lying if I personally felt any appetite to do something so radical so soon.

I hear ya, but I also wouldn’t expect the UK govt to play nice with a new sovereign country that they just lost control of. Tariffs, tourist visa requirements, border checks, all that stuff is possible. Similar to when UK left EU just with a land border and then there’s the question of if Scotland gets into the EU? I assume yes on that but my assumption is not an educated one.
