Has anyone figured out the Chongqing maneki-neko easter egg yet? I’m not saying there is one, but there is definitely an easter egg involving those cats and the cat/mouse graffiti scattered throughout the level. I just bloody know it, and I won’t stop until one of us figure it out!!

I had a very long saved game looking for something related to the cats but nothing whatsoever. Even brought the sniper to look outside of the map for a possible extra cat, but nothing.
I don’t think data miners ever found anything related to it, so there’s probably nothing anyway.
I’m more hopeful about the possible Kraken EE in Berlin as at least a kraken-named suspicious soundfile was found.

Oh, I never knew that. Very cool. I’m not giving up on these cats however. Maybe there’s an extra step to be taken after you shoot them all. Might try shooting all the cat graffiti while I’m at it…or throwing fish at them. There’s just no way there would be that many Japanese beckoning cats in China. Ain’t having it!

The fact that IOI still haven’t “fixed” one of the lion head textures, on the side of the main fountain in Dartmoor, makes me still think that there’s a unicorn EE. After all, there’s a unicorn statue in the middle, and opposite the fountain, between two unicorn heads, there’s a smaller lion head fountain.
Having said that, I noticed the green camera-indicator glitching through a corner of the mortuary in Sapienza, so maybe it is just an unfixed visual artifact.

I know when to call it a day.
I’ve extrapolated things to the point where the devs are probably thinking, “Why didn’t I think of that?”, yet, to this date, I haven’t made a conclusive discovery of my own.
IOI, hire me as an EE creator. I’ll be sure to prevent wild goose chases.

there was an easter egg or a challenge where if you shoot all the bottle of waters it turns into a rocket in miami and blows some people and the target up

I am experiencing the same phenomenon.
I wanted to see JEFF’s Easter egg in HITMAN3, so I tried it, but Jeff does not appear in “Vector”.
In “The Source” I saw Jeff and his girlfriend quarrel.
In “The Author,” I knocked Jeff out and discouraged him from committing suicide.
But in “Vector,” no matter where I look in the junkyard, he is not there.
Does anyone know how to solve this?
I am playing the PS4 version.

not sure if the hunt is still on for a possible unicorn horn easter egg in Dartmoor. but, i remembered today that there’s a wishing well with 2 coins on the well’s ledge outside the mansion. i tossed both coins down the well as an experiment and then tried to grab a horn. it let me take all but one. perhaps it means something, or it was simply a glitch.
wishing wells and unicorns are both found in fairy tales, so i thought there might be a possible link there.

They’re not just any coins. They’re the ones with the crossed guns and skulls… or whatever. Not the normal types of coins typically found in almost any other mission.
Hmm. One could bring in extra during the planning stage…

Crossed gun and skulls… Maybe something related to the pirate ship in one of the secret passages? If my mind isn’t fooling me I remember there being a unicorn horn right next to it.

Considering that’s a reference to the Tintin book “The Secret of the Unicorn,” I’d say that’s a good lead…
Or maybe the Tintin reference is the extent of the EE.

If you’re mentioning Tintin, there’s a riddle in this album :
“Three brothers joined. Three Unicorns in company sailing in the noonday sunne will speak. For 'tis from the light that light will dawn, and then shines forth the Eagle’s cross”
In each ship model, a miniature scroll is hidden containing the coordinates of Red Rackham’s treasure.
Here, we have only one ship model.
