I bought the game and decided after all to do the carry over (steam to epic). I was hit by the issue where mission stories (oportunities) didn’t carry over. Do we know if there is a resolution to that problem yet?
I mean, youre right, but there could have been a way. For example, carrying over mastery unlocks as “mastery 20 achieved” and the items with it, instead of the items from the mastery one by one. Im just dissapointed, Im sure there could have been a way. Especially now, where the game waves around these new editions of guns and gear infront of your nose, with no way to get them.
Noticed that prior escalations in Hitman 1 and Hitman 2 appeared after 24 hrs.
Even the default gear settings for each mission was carried over in the progression turnover.
It is possible that mission stories / opportunities or feature contracts completion in Hitman 1 and Hitman 2, are not stored in the same location as other progression turnover.
It is possible that the above were the least important data of the progression carryover, and would add significantly to the data packet size that have to be transferred from IOI servers for the many thousands (millions?) of users.

EDIT: At least this time I don’t have to worry about doing it yet another time for an upcoming game 
I just noticed: I don’t have any item from the Requiem pack. Don’t care about the suit but miss my ICA 19 Chrome and Rubber Duckie. U_U

There is less complaining 48 hours out from launch of Hitman 3 so probably there will be less delay in progression carryover compared to at launch.
While IOI could have had a staggered release dates of PC, XBOX, PS4/PS5 users to prevent what was an unnecessary backlog of problems with overloaded servers, what were major issues in the first 24 hrs have been addressed by IOI.
Putting it in perspective, it isn’t like Cyberpunk2077 where the versions of the game sold on older consoles are likely unplayable for many months until major bug fixes.
Hitman 3’s issues were temporary for hours into its launch not months. It doesn’t mean it is excusable. Gamers are rightfully entitled to complain about it, but proportionally it is not as big a deal compared to problems with other AAA releases over the past couple of years.

My carryover has been on exporting data for ages
if ages you mean many hrs – this happened to me too, the day before yesterday.
Once you get to Progression status: Pending, your part is over.
IOI then has to manually take over and do the progression carry over.
Here is where you might have an easier time of it because there probably is less of a backlog now of users they IOI needs to do progression carryovers for.

Now I can not play on line only with that profile the old one .
I hope they give to me any answer, I have another 2 profile but not so old 
I do not have a support email to contact them by - however Travis has set up threads in the Player Support section so that the can catalog the issues and send the information to the relevant staff at IO Interactive.
Historically if those people have required further information from people they’ve contacted them by private messages, but generally speaking an issue that is impacting one player is probably impacting several.

you have to wait until servers actually go down to get pissed off, or at least thats my philosophy. because i can connect to the servers just fine
